Other than screening, struggles to make simple "role player plays," like entry passes or hit open shots

Why do we sign guys like this when there are still the Shabazz Muhammad's of the world waiting to be signed?

Anyways we need more versatile wing players, not an undersized Center/PF.

Yeah, i'm not a fan of this signing. Should've went after Jmychal Green or Shabazz M. I wonder who's idea was it to sign this scrub. We already got that center from Dallas on the roster.

Another big, great defender with a very long wingspan.

We have now purposely created a glut at C and PF. Sure sets up for a trade.

I see this more as a smart signing for a role bench player for the Minimum salary. The Heat would need to free up cap space to sign the Shabazz's and Jamychaels of the league then be stuck paying $8-12 mil for backups for the next 3-4 years.

Good defender, terrible offensive player. If he develops a mid-range shot, he could be a good role player.

In b4 we give draft picks and money to get rid of him
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

Mickey hits 3s at a very good clip. He needs to work on his post game (both sides), but other than that, this is a pretty good signing for veteran's minimum. Honestly, I would have used part of the MLE, kept the 3rd year as an option, just in case he gets his game together to have his bird rights, however, the fact that we didn't (like we did with Richardson and McGruder) indicates we have more to do yet. Good news.

G-League stats:

PER of over 22. 109/104 ORTG/DRTG. And, yes, a high blk %.

Image

20.8/8.8 PPG/RPG in 33 mpg. Also 3 points 1.2/2.7 for 43.8%, so perhaps he can help with perimeter shooting. FT shooting is average of 75.6%. Not fantastic, but better than some of our players.

He needs to bring his game up to NBA standards, though, and, if we give him minutes, maybe he can. Vet min...

He hasn't shot a three pointer in his career and never really was a 3 point shooter. He has zero offensive skill to be honest. His only good trait is blocking shots.

Mickey had potential to be a good backup but he showed up to training camp last season way out-of-shape after a promising rookie campaign two years ago. I doubt he makes your team, and if he does he probably won't play that much.

With so many players on your team and dozens of draft picks every year, it doesn't surprise me that you don't know your players. You are right about his NBA career, but he has most of his minutes in the G-League. He can shoot 3s. Let's hope he hits them in the NBA, though! :-)
