I hope it isn't against the rules of the board but I would just like to share a link to an astonishing interview - in English - with Goran Dragić, made by Vesna Milek, one of the leading slovenian journalists. Goran offers here insights of the way to the European Championships, he reveals how he managed to encourage his teammates to make the almost impossible - he speaks about the TOLERANCE, shows his modest heart and humility. It is really worth reading - and you can get know Goran better!

Thanks for posting the interview. Is is not against the board rules to open a thread (just ask eddieheatfan ) if you think the news or topic is worthy of its own thread. It's up to your discretion.

Obviously we don't need a thread for every single random Heat related news (eddieheatfan ) but if you really want to share some information and not let it get lost in a stickied Heat off-season thread, it's fine. Another way to share this kind of info is to bump Dragic thread and post it there but this is perfectly fine. k ttyl

Thanks a lot! And yes, I tried to find the right off-season-thread which would suit but I just couldn't decide which one to choose

goran is amazing. the whole interview is golden but this one takes the trophy... as he did...

"Before the finals I was somehow split into two Gogies. On the left, there was Gogi who won the gold in the European Championship and felt the joy because of this achievement; but on the right, there was Gogi who lost in the finals and was crying because his long-time dreams had slipped away. I did this to be able to prepare myself for the proper reaction when one of those two options became reality.

And when I saw that Lučić was crying after the final game, I felt sincerely bad because while watching him, I saw myself and all of us who could be just as well in his position. I approached him and told him: Hey, you did a good job today! You must be proud of this final game and be proud of the silver medal since you are still young and have a bright future in front of you, and I am sure that you will soon win that gold as well."

for a while now I have a strange feeling the Heat will surprise this year, Gogi seems pumped up as hell for some time now
