I am OW. I had such high hopes. He won't be going Sioux. Maybe its rust from missing the year. I just want to see the flashes he showed his rookie year. This is not the player i saw at Duke. His confidence is shook

Harjo wrote:Only saw the second half, and I was wondering what Spo and the players were thinking by not letting Winslow touch the ball for a few possessions in a row. We know his flaws, but we also know that he is very good going to the basket and kicking the ball out. As soon as he got the ball in the second half, he made a great kick out to a James Johnson three that should have gone in. On his next drive, he again made the kick out and got a hockey assist on T.J's three.

In our current roster, only Dragic and Waiters are better than him in this field. The drive and kick. James Johnson is good too but I would put Winslow ahead of him. He should be having the ball on top of the key more often than not. Yes, he'll miss some easy shots at the rim, but so was Waiters since his rookie season up until January 2017. It takes time sometimes. I'd rather he went to the basket and missed a shot rather than have him invisible in a corner chasing shadows. He has to demand the ball too when his teammates aren't trying to find him.

Not me fam. But it certainly looks like he'll be starting in the G. Spo has put him in the worst possible spots to succeed. He'll make Sioux games worth watching. All good

Yeah, makes sense for him to be heading down. Heat a have deep roster of vets who will get much of the court time anyways. And as a team trying to win now, Spo and the coaching staff won't have the patience to give Bam burn out there and let him grow through his mistakes. A lot better for him to play 30+ minutes a night and be the man on his own team than fight for scraps in NBA. Also nice to have him as injury depth and even trade bait.

That’s the kind of move he needs to use more often. Of course, he needs the ball in his hands to do it though. Hoping that last little push gets him untracked for the next game.

confidence shouldn't be that high if he's shooting like this in practice/warmups  and we shouldn't have high hopes (as far as outside shooting goes)

Hard to blame Bam on that stretch in the 2nd quarter. Spo experimented with a Winslow/ Ellington/Okaro/JJ/Bam lineup. It did not go well, to say the least.

Bam still seems nervous out there though. Everything he does seems rushed.

Put Bam at the 4 next to KO. He is not ready to be an NBA 5. He's got a lot of speed too.

That jj and Winslow lineup is always brutal. It'll never work. The both play best at the same style. Winslow can't spot up like Dragic or Ellington and bomb threes. If Winslow is running point, he needs to be the sole playmaker while everyone else spots up with one cleanup providing the screens/rebounds. Spotting up ain't really jj's game either, but he's better at it than Winslow.

This season's going to be brutal for me if he's going to be averaging 3-4 shots, that's just not how you respond to an troubling, injury ridden season. He should be starting and I hope that's realized before he's traded or let go for loose change. Nonetheless for fit reasons on a 50 win squad

Don't think it's about confidence, something that could be worked out in the G-league, he's not a player that can score outside of the flow of an offense (Another excuse to add to the blah) and he's not quite yet groomed to be McGruder. If the training staff wants to keep him under wraps until he is or ready to be traded then so be it...

The problem is that he's not good at that either. There's hardly a spot on the floor that he isn't a below average shooter from, and that includes point blank range.

With all the offseason hype and time he had to work on his shot. Yes I had high hopes he was going to improve. Watching that video he looks horrific. Basically trying to push the ball to the rim. So bad that he looks like he's shooting right handed when he's a lefty
