That moron didn't get the surgery during the off-season because he was concerned it would hurt his contract. Smfh. Now we have to deal with this all season. We might not make the playoffs because he's going to likely miss a lot of games. And he won't look like himself. Think rookie Rio to sophomore Rio after that nasty ankle injury.

But wouldn't it? IIRC he denied that his ankle was bad and all then said it was fine and went along, so in a sense fooled the Heat if this thing gets out of hand.

1. ORL was good. Hats off

2. Defense was bad, overall communication and transitions pick ups was full on preseason yolo mode.

3. Took forever to get into the dribble hand offs and the quality was less than stellar.

It really depends on what needs to be repaired and how bad the damage is. If he fooled the Heat, he's getting shipped out quick if he doesn't produce to the level of his contract.

And 4. Whiteside was pure class and might have been the answer to our struggling offense in the 3rd. As soon as he got the ball in the 4th when we were down 17 we started coming back. JJ was very good too.

Regarding defence, it looked to me like the players were playing individual defence, only trying to cover for their man and not being intelligent in their rotations or double teams. Whiteside has been a bit all over the place since preseason. He looks like the Whiteside of 2 years ago on defence.

Expected a slow start to the season, especially defensively. It's going to take time to have that intensity shown last season again, especially with McGruder out. We will be fine.

If Waiters ankle is really an issue, they need to go ahead and shut him down early so he can be ready for the playoffs if we even make it. No point in having someone who isn't 100% on the floor and not able to play to their full potential. He probably is trying to play through it because he gets a bonus for playing a certain amount of games but the chit is foolish.

Remember the time Iggie lost the season opener against the Magic at Orlando? Heat didn't lose at Orlando with me as OP.

I don't bother trying to make my own meaning in this world, I just wait for good things to come my way.

Snoozing for the win.

Happy New Year!
