Whiteside and TJ should be taking the most shots on this team. JJ should be the secondary ballhandler to Dragic. Winslow is a willing passer and has good vision, but he isn't as creative off the dribble or as good a finisher in the lane as JJ. Winslow should be logging the most minutes on this team, however. He plays intelligently on defense and appears to have great motor and stamina. Rich should be trying to cut more as an off ball player. I feel at times he settles to much for threes instead of trying to put the opposing team in foul trouble. Dion does the opposite, except he can be too careless passing in traffic and he is true ballstopper. I don't really like Dion's game at all, especially for today's NBA.

"Guys have been telling me it's my turn to step up and grow and fill that void," Winslow says.

"That's what I want," he said. "That's what I've been working for my whole life—to make it to the NBA. Not only that but to be a star and have my own team one day. This is the next step in me progressing and getting there, expanding my role and growing as a leader."

Thoughts??

Not sure your angle. You said this was before his injury, so after 18 or however many games played last year this is game 1 of 82. From my viewpoint, and I think most of the posters here he looked better than when we saw him last. Obviously he's not expecting to reach his personal goals overnight and I dont have that expectation either, which is kind of the point behind me calling out your expectations

His offense is still raw. You "called me out" saying my expectations are too high, but my expectations are that Winslow should be closing out games. Winslow has higher expectations than that.

He wasn't out there because the offense stagnated with him out there. He's a smart basketball player and does a lot to help the team win, but his offense still needs to be developed.

But hey, Go Heat. Good night.

Who is still talking about that guy? This isn't 2015 bro. Everyone knows the Pistons messed up not taking Winslow. Don't mention that name around here.

TJ was trash on defense and getting blown by every time and his offense wasn't helping either.

TJ was pretty bad. Waiters was bad. Goran was bad. Jrich was bad. Yep the point of depth is so if one has a bad game the other steps up. Surprised at how many point they actually scored.

I came by to check reactions to the game I watched tonight. Astute Heat fans pan Winslow. Brilliant. Fournier beat us because he didn't have a good defender on him, and Richardson make a stupid play. Winslow wasn't on the court. It's still his fault, though, right?

Damn, Whiteside had a great game, though. Too bad it was for naught.

tbh, outside of our defense being bad and our backcourt looking like chit and spo playing asap shumpert s35 mins the most concerning thing I've seen all preseason and tonight....is TJ's tunnel vision. He's not interested in passing or making plays for any1 but himself. It's ugly to watch. I don't know if the coaching staff is encouraging this or what but ugh, he's playing like Jordan Clarkson.

Pretty normal with TJ. He’s pretty much instant offense off the bench so it’s not too detrimental. It was a bit better las season though.

Spo preaches D but our defense was soft as ****. They looked tired and confused at times. There were decent stretches tho
