I don't necessarily agree with moving him, but if we do we have the personnel to trade up at this point. I don't think we could get a single player in that would be impactful for Waiters. If we could package for a strong PF who can spread the floor like a Batum I'd be up for that.

Needs to hang it up this season and get that surgery. He even said even a slight sprain turns bad due to injury.

So what? Let him get his surgery then and play next year. You mayflies have short memories.

Edit: Sorry, HFL, that came off wrong. I didn't understand your message. I agree with you, fwiw.

Only if Chicago adds a pick.

I don't understand how you preach patience on one post and then aren't willing to give Winslow a chance to recover from injury and show us his game. Winslow will be a good player. Why do you want him to be a good player on the MFing Bulls?

Because we are trying to win now. Heat do not 4 seasons to wait on Justise to become a good player. Mirotic makes us BETTER now. This team was built to win now. Out core is only getting older.

Oh, so we are competing for a championship now? What? Against the Warriors, the Rockets, and the Cavaliers?

I believe we are still in development and must turn our young assets into better players instead of dumping them for more old vets.

Sorry. We disagree.

We need to accumulate assets and grow from within. Then we'll put together a championship team, probably post-Hassan and post-Dragic (as a starter).

We gave him few seasons gom, with really no improvement at all. Also if he's getting injured every single season, why take the gamble? Now mind you I think we're all giving him in this season to turn it around, but If I was a betting man, I wouldn't count on it imo.

I see your point of view too.

Um... he wasn't injured the first season for any length of time and played in the playoffs against Charlotte and Toronto. Last season he was mostly out. This season he is hurt again but has better numbers. I don't think Justise will be a problem once he matures. He's a good athlete with a great work ethic.

Well doesn't change the fact we always seem to have a better record without him. No doubt he's a great athlete though, but Winslow IS mature though gom for his age, It's all mental with him. Heat thrive on the mentality of our players and get the best out of them, rejuvenated careers and what have you. If Winslow can't fit our criteria mentally, he's a lost cause for us imo.

Time will tell.

I remember one of the few discussions I ever had with Tsherkin (Merkin, or whatever his name is) was about how Miami was so much better with McRoberts on the court instead of Whiteside. I refuse to have these on/off discussions. Through the course of a season games aren't all equal. You know that. The question is simple. Can a 21-year-old player on a rookie contract become a player for our future even if he hasn't had an ideal start because of injuries? Note that we've seen how gutsy he is in the postseason both at Duke and in the playoffs. He's 16 months older than Bam. That's it.

Now, I have sons. One turns 31 next month and my youngest is 23 in a few weeks. I know something about how young people change, but a person's character doesn't change all that much after you mature, at least not without a crisis. Winslow has impressed me, but don't listen to me. Every time Spo talks about him, he compliments his work ethic and dedication.

Fickle fans.

smh

patience. yeah, sure

As I mentioned, I see your point of view on Winslow and its definitely understandable. I guess we seem fickle is because we always seem to bomb in our top drafts alas Beasley so it lingers around with us. Both sides on anti/pro Winslow have strong arguments with really no clean-cut winner in this scenario. It's just "opinion" for now. I just don't see him blossoming to the player we think he will become, not to me anyway, heck to a lot of people tbh.

Congrats on your bdays of your Sons GOM.

Would rather move Waiters than Winslow, lord have mercy. And we don't have a team that can "win now".

It's not really about Waiters, imho. It's about ungrateful, impatient fans criticizing a team that just put out like Jessica Simpson. Why Jessica Simpson? I'll let John Mayer take over from here:
John Mayer in Playboy wrote:Yeah, that girl is like crack cocaine to me... Sexually it was crazy. That's all I'll say. It was like napalm, sexual napalm ... Have you ever been with a girl who made you want to quit the rest of your life? Did you ever say, 'I want to quit my life and just f**kin' snort you? If you charged me $10,000 to f**k you, I would start selling all my **** just to keep f**king you.'

Car-themed:

Recipe for success (my opinion only): Build our assets, all our assets. Then make the moves, taking advantage of distressed property and opportunities. We are not a win now team.

^ LOL - KingDavid posted same pov when I was editing. Jinx.
