Centers overrated

AD is a dominant frontcourt player. This is obvious. But now I'm thinking... the position is either not efficient enough to win without that penny/kobe/wade/kyrie (elite guard penetration/closer) or guys aren't closing properly.

Hint: it's the former or Duncan would have won more titles.

I'm mean the rules are set against them. Get rid of 3 second violation and 5 second back to the basket and see what happens.

I'm not sure they could close against triple teams. You need closers on the outside or hittin the lanes like lebowski.

Just like any position, put the right complementary players and system around them and they will suceed. Look at Harden and DAntoni, both were getting nowhere without each other. Together the right system and player they are have a chance.

The reason you do not see a lot dominate bigs winning is because they are rare and a lot of them have gotten hurt. Ming, Oden, Porzingis, Cousins etc.

No one player at one position can carry a team in this top heavy league. Embiid is doing just fine as the led player. He doesn't have the depth of talent around him like Irving and Leonard does and his team is right up there. If 76ers get quality role players and depth they will be in the finals as a center led team.

Mismatches can be found at any position. You just got to find that unique player and build a system to exploit his mismatch. Ala Bucks and Giannis
