It's confidence. If he believes that he's gonna dominate, and is aggressive about it, he'll put up some big stat lines. He needs to not be so deferential and just keep stepping up to the moment.

Would love to see him start knocking down face-up 18 footers regularly next season, with the occasional corner trey. That would open up his driving lanes big time, and allow him to put that handle to use. He's still a little one dimensional right now.

I just want Bam shooting 3's, while the median attempts per game is gradually increasing I think 3 per game would be fair for him. Mix some shooting with some bully ball and straight line drives, model his game alike Randle/Cousins(I know Cousins is averaging 24% from 3 and would not care in the slightest if Bam did as well, just shoot it)
Long Live Winnie. Mamba siempre

I would love if we could get Bosh to work with him if we haven't already. Meshing Bosh's game with Bam's current game would be an ideal outcome for Bam. Once Bam gets the attention of other big men flying out to him at the three point line it will not only open up the lane for him to dribble more for some nasty dunks but it will also make our offensive sets so much more dynamic and harder to scheme against.

Mechanically his jumper is clean, so I have no doubt he will continue to develop that part of his game. This video was pre draft and even then it looked nice.

I want Bam handling the ball more like he was in Summer league. He is showing more of it the past few weeks. It would be nice if he could knock down a 3 point shot but I don't think he needs to hang out there. Just to force his defender away from the rim. I like his ability getting to the rim and drawing fouls handling the ball. I want him being a 7 plus free throw attempt a game player. I want players to space the paint for him, not him spacing the paint. Basically more of a Giannis role for him.

Bam should just study KG's tape, that was his favorite player.

I don't think his jumper is pure enough to be KG. If he watches Kemp during his post Seattle days, I think he can mimic that jumper. I wish he would watch Kemp palming the ball. Kemp had small hands also

Honest question, how long are we willing to wait for that to develop?

After the contract extension?

Idk hell I don't know what Spo is training him to do. Kemp took almost 8 years to get his jumper down pack. The cuffing, hell I can teach him that in a week lol. He needs to learn how to dunk with one hand. That two hand dunk he does slows him down

Bucks lost showed what the Heat need the most right now(besides a star). consistent and efficient shooters. Waiters is "consistent" but almost never has an efficient game. Terrence Ross 4 games ago scored 22 on 16 shots. Went 8-17 for 23 2 games before that. Terrance Ross is inconsistent but he will have a big game like every 5 games. If Waiters doesn't become a better shooter we should go find his replacement. Wade also contributed to the loss with the amount of shots he took. Richardson attempting only 10 shots in 37 minutes doesn't make sense. We need better FT shooting, Winslow and DJJ need to practice shooting FTs more. Waiters should be gone in a couple of years so I'm not worried about his FT shooting.

one of the comments:

Listen to these dumb as answer. He never answer a basketball question with a basketball answer. Always saying stuff with emotional and physical activity. Spo answer a question. Say Dragic don't know how to play a zone. He has to get better. In a 2 -3 zone. No one should be open for corner 3. And it constant against the heat. If you have small guys playing back it's no excuse for them not getting out their to the shooters. They might as well put D Jones and Winslow back there to get better defense against the corner 3 and move the guards back to the top and make them move

Wade's comments about Giannis are spot on.

Listen to the fans and you end up sitting next to them. No serious coach would comment like that, certainly not at the pro level. Maybe Pop could get away with it but that's about it.

That one is Giannis' to lose IMO. He might win DPOY though although I think the award should also go to Giannis.

Trying to convince myself it doesn't matter if we finish 8th and pick 15th rather than have a miniscule chance for the ping-pong balls, but this season is beyond hopeless, and I just wanted a little chance to make it better. Losing to Charlotte would have been smart. They are so awful though.
