I had to resort to google but yes, it appears Zion has come out as gay.

11 does seem young, but that’s middle school.

Wade is a great father, supporting all of his kids.

I thought 11 was sixth grade? Honestly, 5th or 6th really doesn’t matter.

I knew what I was attracted to at that age. Puberty average for males is age 12-14. It is also different for everyone as to when it begins.

As for the parade, he had a bunch of support there. He wasn’t placed in an adult environment without supervision.

This may get too into politics for this forum, but I knew what the controversy would be when I opened this- his age- which is why I made the middle school comment. I also believe that homosexuality is not a choice, as nobody would choose to be ostracized by a great number of people. 11 is young for somebody coming to this conclusion, but again it’s different for everyone. It’s Wade’s obligation as a parent to support his children in anything that comes about.

you are talking like an 11 year old that is not old to drive can make a decision on to go to an adult event.i'm sorry but this is wrong, i have zero issues with a parent supporting an homosexual son or daughter but one thing is support and another thing is to push the agenda that this is ok which is NOT

There is a politics and an offtopic section of the forum where those discussions occur.

They can do as they please tbh. If they want to broadcast it, fine. Maybe it's to help their son be comfortable about being who he is. Especially after social media seemingly torched him in that picture with Gabby some months back.

I had a wait what moment myself,

Its odd...because i have a 10 year old who will be 11 in Dec. It was not that long ago that she decided she wanted to be a cat.

On one hand, I think if this was me, and my daughter decided she was gay, I would support her and make sure she did not feel alienated, but on the other hand... I am not putting this on blast. I would talk her out having it show up on the front pages of the paper.... Its my 10 year old daughter...it is not the worlds business.

So yeah...there is support, but there is also protection. I am old enough to know people change and people have regrets in life...i am not going to lead my daughter into something she might regret later. You know something like having the world looking in on her emotional and sexual leanings at AGE 10 ( or 11 or 16 it does not matter, they are all children).

I can give kudos for Wade being a good father in the affect that he loves his child no matter what, but I think maybe they are out of touch on why an 11 year old might regret giving up his privacy so early in life. His name is going to be attached to a movement that might drift in to all kinds of things an 11 year old boy does not understand, or support. When you become the pre-teen poster boy for a moment....you loose far to many valuable rights to privacy.

If this was 10 years ago, that kid would not be talking about being gay. He would have a girlfriend. But there's nobody in his life to tell him it's okay to have weird thoughts sometimes, because you're a kid and you can get confused, but just treat them as weird thoughts and it will go away and you'll be thinking of the next weird thing soon enough.

But when you teach young kids that "gender is a spectrum" (lol) and that "it's okay to have sexual thoughts about your own gender"....... then you get confused kids doing **** like this to fit in and or get attention from adults. Only 3% of the population is born gay. The rest are being turned gay/bisexual by liberal teachers and school systems.

Kids have all sorts of stupid ideas when growing up. When I was 5, I used to want to fly like Superman. My parents would scold me for climbing on furniture and jumping down onto couches or the bed with a towel on my back like a cape. If you let me make the decisions, I'd be dressed as Superman going to school and you gotta address me as "Mr. Kent" and if you don't, you're an abusive bigot hater.

Anyone here seen that show FRIENDS? One of the characters there, Ross(straight male), used to have tea parties and wear a dress when he was a little boy, because he wanted to play with his sister. But his parents taught him that it's not cool to do that, and the kid grew out of that, and got married to the hottest chick he knew. Imagine if that kid was raised today. They'd "empower" the little idiot to wear dresses and give him hormone therapy and let him ruin his life all because they are letting kids make the decisions that ADULTS are supposed to be making.

The world has gone **** crazy upside down. We living in the end times.
