Porter Jr, Garland or White.
Scorers lives matter.

If Garland is available he's the pick. I'm almost certain he will not be available at 13 unless he completely botches his workouts. Rich Paul will make sure he does not get past the Lakers at 11.

Garland and Lonzo tho? Or are we assuming Lonzo is a goner ASAP?

Lebron is probably looking at shipping out Lonzo and his old man at the first decent offer. Garland and his three point acumen is probably exactly what Lebron is looking for in his PG. Also would not be shocked to see the Wiz jump in on Garland. Wall already stated that he does not mind if they draft a young PG and they already have a built in relationship with Paul. I still think the PG needy Bulls will be on him heavily.

Would've felt a lot better if we picked at #8 or 9, which was very realistic in a mini tank operation.
That way we could have gambled on whoever WE felt was the future star that slipped instead of getting the leftovers that teams in the 7-12 range already grabbed.
No one will remember if we finished with 39 wins or 29 wins, but it's very likely we'll see and mourn the difference between picking at #6 instead of #13 which is where we're likely to pick after the pingpong balls disappoint us once again.

Brandon Clarke is an easy choice. There's almost no way he doesn't become a great defender in the NBA.

He will be a great switch defender in the NBA no doubt about it but he's still a Center trapped in a SF's body. He will need to be paired with a stretch big much like he had in Gonzaga with Hachimura. He would probably make a great pairing with KO much like Bam is paired nicely with KO. Bam and Clarke together probably not so much. T Wolves should not hesitate to draft Clarke to pair him with KAT.

Who are we drafting at 8 or 9? Darius Garland who played like 3 full games? Jaxson Hayes? Cameron Reddish? The difference between drafting 7th-12th isn't much different from drafting at 13 and it's why Celtics fans don't want this year's Grizzlies' pick. I don't know how you can be disappointed about our last draft since we drafted Bam who's been a great player so far. At 13 we could draft players like Langford or KPJ so I wouldn't consider that "getting the leftovers".

Don't most teams today have at least 1 stretch big in their starting lineup? We don't have to play Clarke with Bam and we could always use him as part of a trade for a star.

Good read. Offers some insight on two players I've repped pretty hard in the past few drafts, JJ and Little.
I am warming to the idea of taking Little if we are able to. I think he can definitely develop his offensive skills, he shoots his free throws at 77% at nearly 3 FT's a game in the limited minutes he plays, only averaging 18mpg in his freshman season.
His athletic and defensive abilities definitely fit the kind of team we have been building lately with DJJr, Bam, Winslow and JRich. I also like the flexibility he would give us in our rotations being able to play him at the SF/PF while keeping Winslow at the PG would be great he's also a stronger alternative to the slimmer DJJr in situations where he's out muscled.
I'm not sure we are going to be trying to find a player in this draft to try and be our go to guy offensively going forward. I feel like we are finding the best role players to help recruit the next top tier star who wants out and is looking for a situation that they can slot into and put us over the top. AD and or Giannis still seem to be those targets in my mind.

If he's far and away the best talent available at 13 then sure. Problem his value is all over the board right now. Tankathon and a few mocks have him top 10. The other mocks and sites have him going in the 20's. If push came to shove i would rather take the best available swing with whom depending who you ask might be the BPA over Clarke to begin with in that spot. Right now the picks from 7-13 seem all subjective and interchangeable.

The only prospects that haven't declared for the draft yet and are likely to get drafted before 13 are Culver and Sekou. The former will be announcing his decision at 3 CDT I'm guessing. I think Culver stays since he's announcing his decisions in front of fans. 13th pick is now 14th but we get a better pick next year if Culver decides to leave next year. Draft THT since Langford, Bol Bol and Clarke are gone now as a result of this.
