Bulls offer....might be able to save you a little bit of cash

Hello....
Was combing through rosters to see who we could make a low key swap with, and I think the two teams could work something out.
This works in the trade checker.
Kris Dunn ($5.6M) and Antonio Blakeney ($1.3M) for Meyers Leonard ($11.2M).
Both Dunn and Blakeney are expiring contracts.
We could use another reserve big, and it looks like you could use a reserve PG and some cap room savings.
I tried it with Olynyk, but it is $699k off.

i'd do this, but I don't think we can trade Leonard.

Meh. I'd honestly rather keep Leonard, but I'm really low on Dunn. I think we're moving Dragic.

I'm pretty sure Leonard can be traded...he just can't be packaged with another player (unless there is still that 48 hour rule...CBA's keep changing).

I'd be all over this. I think Dunn is underrated, plus injuries have derailed multiple seasons for him. Definitely someone with potential that I'd roll the dice on.

Is Blakeney in this deal because you think he's a sweetener? Honestly asking because I've never heard of him. Miami is trying to get under the cap so they can waive Ryan without stretching him so I assume we'd prefer just Dunn.
I do think with Hassan gone we may actually need Meyers, unless Kelly and JJ play more C which I'm not sure about.
Maybe we could just give you Meyers Leonard and Ryan Anderson and as much cash as we can for a conditional 2nd round pick if you want Meyers and you can waive Ryan Anderson for us?
No need for Dunn. Just help our cap.

No, Blakney isn't a sweetner at all. He simply makes the deal work, is cheap, and is an expiring.
After we signed Sato and Young, we are just about out out of cap space (under the cap)....so we have to stick with the 125% +$100K stuff as most deals take us over the cap. We don't have a way to absorb contracts big contracts anymore.

Just checking around......
Bulls drafted White, signed Sato, and extended the QO to a 3rd PG (we call him Archi).....so "Dunn is done" in Chicago.
Right now Dunn will be fighting with White for back-up guards minutes....and it is a contract year for him. Probably makes more sense to avoid potential conflict.

Dunn is a huge red flag. I think the HEAT would prefer to keep Leonard rn so that Oly can play next to bam and we could still have a stretch big on the floor for the second unit. Plus, his wife is... his wife and I respect their relationship.

I'd rather keep Leonard. Good to have two stretch bigs instead of one.
