Would have liked for Dragic to be traded and Justise to get that PG spot. But right now I say keep it as it is and go into the season with this. Hope for some improvements from some guys and if it’s possible try an in season trade for Beal.

Looking over the reports the market for Westbrook is pretty down. Seems teams are scared off by his contract, chemistry and lack of shooting. I was for moving Bam + Herro + Pick for him. Now with the way the market seems, I'd just do Herro + Pick and filler salaries. The team that everyone sees that might overpay for Russ are the Knicks.

We dont have the MLE to sign anyone
Okpala our last signing barring a trade
We dont have another star.
The elite stars are in good winning situations with another star.
Other good stars we don't have enough assets that we can afford to give up.
Cousins on the market for cheap and we can't afford him.
Butler doesn't put us over the top 2 teams in the east or top 5 west.
The FA class next years sucks.
Had we traded Dragic and a first round pick like Cuban demanded, we would have the PG slot open for Winslow, now ideally he comes off the bench. Also we would have the cap space to use the MLE. Cuban got the last laugh here.
Except he's sitting with unused money and a poor team.
We had the last laugh and will again during the season.

I'm questioning if Westbrook and Butler could work well together. I'm not worried about his contract or his friendship with Butler, it's what happens in Crunch time. Jimmy is one of the most clutch players in the league, but I would lose it if Westbrook continues to be reckless in crunch time.

Repeat after me:
Justice Winslow is NOT a PG
He is a forward with a developing offensive game that can distribute the ball ( a very good attribute for an NBA forward since the ones that can not do it become Corey Maggatte, Rudy Gay etc )
Many forwards can do that including: Butler (average 4 assist a game), Lebron, Iguadala (used too), Khawi, Hayward etc

Wonder if this is us because we were immediately linked to him as a "fit" when the PG trade happened.
But I doubt any meaningful executive would give any info to ESPN from our dead silent org.

What I hope:
PG-Winslow
SG-Waiters
SF-Butler
PF-Olynyk
C-Bam
What I think Spo does:
PG-Dragic
SG-Butler (or Waiters)
SF-Winslow (or Butler)
PF-Olynyk
C-Bam
The Spo hate is strong in this one.

Stupid not to take a chance on him considering that JJ might get some starts for this team at PF this year. Ugh.

This is true. I'm not sure if Spo would have known what to do with him on the court and the personality combination with waiters and Butler.
