It doesn't have to be Beal. The way these last 2 seasons have panned out shows there will always be a disgruntled star wanting out. The Heat gotta stay patient and not make dumb deals like taking on Wall's contract.

Epic fail. The only reason to acquire Butler was to build a team right now to contend for the title. As it stands, we should’ve kept Richardson and our first round pick and waited for 2021.

I would have been happy with WB, but I'm good right now. With this and the Beal stories, it's great that Pat is keeping his eyes open. We will have to add another playmaker unless Winslow, Bam, and Herro make a huge leap.

Richardson is just alright and that pick is lottery protected. No brainer trade especially being able to dump Whiteside as well.

There was never a trade to be had. OKC wanted the Heat to be screwed so they can cash in on our unprotected draft pick. Just look at what they got from Houston.
