Harden + Butler will take you pretty far too.

Tell me Westbrook + Butler aren't at least in the ECF in 2019.

To me the East finishes like this before the playoff begin. If we get Westbrook. With 1, 2, 3 within handful of games of each other. Boston and the Nets fighting over 4 and 5. And like always 6,7,8 fighting for position. With Orlando on the outside looking in.

1-Bucks
2-Heat
3-Philly
4-Boston
5-Nets
6-Indy
7-Toronto
8-Detroit

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I will take it one step further. A couple things fall our way and this team could be in the Finals, especially if we keep our young pieces.

To make things fit is the reason you have role players and the reason why certain role players are call "Glue Guys" because they make the main core pieces fit the puzzle (i.e. Haslem next to Shaq, Rondo with Celtics Big 3, Battier and Chalmers with Heat Big 3). I think the concern should be, well at least my concern, is efficiency and running plays that are called, especially if he is going to be running point.
Agreed, which is why I think keeping Bam, Olynyk, and one of Herro or Winslow is vitally important to the team's success this year. We need floor spacing, good passers, and good defenders (not that those players represent each of those aspects, but they fill in some of them). I'm all for getting Westbrook, but only if the price is right.

Westbrook and Butler could be great together. LeBron and Wade supposedly didn't fit either, but they made it work with the system, the role players, and a desire to actually do it. I imagine both coming in with chips on their shoulders, buying into the Spolestra system wholeheartedly. Just imagine the defense presence they represent if those two are motivated. Not to mention the explosive offense. It could be frenetic, intense, and impossible for other teams to match.

I don't think the Lakers will be that nice but I would pay whatever shekels the NBA required of me to see Wade come out of retirement and play against James in the Finals alongside Butler and Westbrook

You guys have crazy reporters :)
Looks like the exact opposite from OKC...reporters aren't allowed to say anything. A middle ground must be nice

This is going to drag on for ages. Best we can hope for is that there isn’t other buyers interested in WB and WB himself pushes for a move to Miami.

If we can seriously keep our young players in this deal we’re in serious contention in the East.

Young assets? Other than Bam none of them are big time assets
#HEATLifer #VFL

You're welcome LeBron.

Tyler Herro is a TURD.
Bam is NOT elite but is getting better.
Fire Spoelstra!
Josh Heupel is coming for you.

Miami gets

PG Russell Westbrook
PF Patrick Patterson

OKC gets

PG Goran Dragic (Expiring)
SG JR Smith (Non Guaranteed)
PF James Johnson

Cleveland gets

C Kelly Olynyk

Basically OKC gets well under the tax and out of the massive Westbrook contract. Cleveland gets KO for free essentially for Smith's contract. This is what i think a no young assets trade would look like.

good news.

Other than Bam who truly is a young asset?

Herro the Summer League Hall of Famer?
Winslow the slow developing cool hairdo vanilla like player?
Mateen or any other scrub?

Bam is the only guy with high ceiling...keeping in mind that because of his short arms, Herro cannot reach the ceiling even if he wanted to

KZ hasn’t played a single game yet!
Herro is only good in Summer League, hasn’t proven ****.
Winslow has yet to show he’s worthy of being a top 12 pick. J-Rich has developed more than Winslow.

Hopefully, Miami can grab S.Adams also(same trade with Westbrook or 2nd trade). As much as people are big on Bam, if you're wanting to go deep into the playoffs you're going to end up seeing Philly and you have to have someone who has the size and strength to make Embiid work. Embiid has been getting his points against Adams during the regular season but in a 7 game series Adams may be able to wear him down with how big and strong he is.

Steven Adams will be turning 26 soon, so there are many more productive years with him, hopefully on a much smaller contract after this one is up in 2 years.

An expiring isn't an asset for us. Robinson and Nunn are barely ''assets''

Think OKC fans want too much and we could end up with no asset but...if we want something in return it would be one of those 3 ''big assets'' or some pick.

Hm, Riley really may have changed a bit. Old Riley would have thrown the haul for Westbrook. This seems to be a bidding war, but no one seeing eye to eye. I am sure Detroit has a better package to give than us, but Westbrook may or may not want to go there. Detroit has Griffin and Drummond atleast.

Interesting... interesting....
