Say what you want about Beasley, but his offensive talent is still keeping him in the NBA, weed be damned.

James johnson reminds me of the magic roundabout. In more ways than one.

I feel like we're the worst fan base on the forum when it comes to being confident about our players. Adebayo a benchwarmer after last season, really?
no,he has to work on his weaknesses because he might be not a benchwarmer while on the heat but if he's traded to another team he will surely be a 2nd or 3rd string center somewhere.

though,he has developed a tad better than winslow at this stage but he is not yet an elite player on the nba level. he needs to work more on his shots and rebounds and blocks a little bit more

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/adebaba01.html

i do really like him but he has his work cut out for him since its a failure that he didnt made the national team to represent the usa...he should use this as a motivation to improve further

Developing better than Winslow is not saying much. Considering we are in a win now mode, Winslow might not be a starter but I do think he will end games on the court.

I'm guessing that Heat v. Orlando will be one of our first 5 games.

Should Jahlil Okafor be a player the Heat should keep an eye on for next summer. He has gotten in tremendous shape last year. I didnt get to see him play so I do not know how much did he truly improve. But looking at his numbers in January he and a 9 game consecutive strings of starts which he posted 18.2 pts, 2 blks, 9.8 rbs, 12 FGA, 67% FG%. These are the stats I expected out of him coming out of college. He has the physical traits to be a good rebounder, decent shot blocker, and a dam good efficient go too scorer. One of my biggest complaints about him was being in poor physical shape, lack of desire to play defense, and poor rebounder. He sure did fix his body, I see flash of his rebounding in that streak, not sure if he gain focus on defense. He is good passer, nice stroke that can become a better weapon. If you watched his play last year what is the feedback?

PG: Dragic
SG: Butler
SF: Winslow
PF: Okafor
Ce: Adebayo

I pitched Okafor last summer when he was available for cheap as a young reclamation project, the board wasn't interested.

Maybe if Adebayo was a stretch player, here you would be relying on Winslow there to be a high volume shooter

I think we hold value a stretch player way too much. The Heat were damn near or was the worse offensive team in the league and having a stretch four was not the reason. New Orleans started Okafor and Randle together. A stretch player helps but its not the reason any team offense is good or not. We keep reserving a stretch player as reason to not add talent.

By the way those of you who did not know, Sling Tv and Dish dropped Fox Sports Florida, they did not reach an agreement, so i guess if you want to watch the Heat and have those companies you should jump to another provider.

October-December=moderate difficulty
January-Febuary=medium-high difficulty
March-April=medium-low difficulty

I like it. We get to feel out this team early on then play against the tougher teams later on then we can kind of tell where this team will finish in the standings before the season ends. March should be a very productive month for the Heat.

Okafor is not good. Very poor man's Whiteside.

Anyone know the 4 teams in the east they face 3 times instead if 4?

I always like to check our last 3 or so games because that's where value is in your schedule. If you play a top team at the end of the season, they are likely resting players.

We have Toronto last (I expect them to have HC), Charlotte second last (meh, I assume they are in the tank), and Boston 3rd last (are they even a good team now? I assume playoffs, but they may be fighting for a position)

Also good is that the EC teams we only play 3 times are Milwaukee, Toronto, Brooklyn and Detroit. I expect the first 3 to be playoff teams and possibly all with HCA. Detroit will probably be aiming for playoffs and teeter on the brink. Means we play all the tanking teams 4 times.

Separate thing - why are they televising 3 of our 4 matchups with Atlanta? Is that some sick joke because of this forum?

miami should be a 6th seed at best or an 8th seed at worst.i'd be surprised if they dont make the playoffs again.this team has way to go to be a top seeder type of team or a contender

I definitely was, but Miami already had Hassan, Bam, and Kelly O.
