Greetings Miami Heat fans.
Just wanted to introduce myself. I am a huge Miami Heat fan. I saw the entire high and lows. I know we are in a rebuild so I figured I join the forums to contribute during this rough phase.
So just to make this thread not about me. Here is my question I pose to heat fans.
When do the Miami Heat retire LeBron James #6? Before the cavs do the honors? I know are many threads on this but I think it would be cool to know when we retire the number.
Additionally if and when Pat Riley retires do you guys think Spoesltra will be elevated in the front office.

I'm guessing that Lebron will get his jersey retired when he comes to town during his farewell season as part of his tribute, if that is at all possible. If he retires unexpectedly, then I would guess that it would be when we're hosting the Cavs the following season.

I think when Spoelstra retires he will be moved to the front office if that is what he wants to do, but I don't think he'd be replacing Pat in the same capacity. I think he'd have a voice in personnel moves and team direction, but not the final voice like Pat has. I think we'd already have a guy in place to take over for Pat when he goes.
