Miami Heat Regular Season Thread - Part 1 - Can You Feel It?

Post#1 » by gom » Wed Oct 23, 2019 6:23 am

I messaged Metta to start this topic but I guess Moderators actually sleep (ha ha, Wiltside +1ed ten seconds after the post...) They don't all sleep.

Anyway, it's time people. Preseason is over. We have a tough start ahead of us, but I love this team. I love its work ethic and dedication and love of winning.

From a generous Piston fan, MittenProblemChild, on Reddit:

I am the most excited about this season than any other since the first season Richardson and Winslow joined the team, and that season we made the second round. Anything less would be a disappointment. What I really want is to beat the 76ers or Celtics in the ECF, but I would also be satisfied with beating the Raptors in the ECF instead.

Let's Go HEAT!

I got you gom.

Super excited for this season. Similar to OP, probably the most I’ve been excited since Winslow’s rookie year. It’s so good to have a legit star in Butler, promising young guys ready to take a leap in Bam, DJJ and Winslow, exciting rookies in Herro and Nunn, plus plenty of vet depth.

Have a good feeling about this szn. Atleast I did, before IggieOP made the wurs happen.

Would it be a letdown to beat anyone else in the ECF?

Only if we beat the Spurs or Mavericks for the championship. No. One. Else.

This why the Heat should not make any major moves this season. If there's a chance Giannis will become available, we need to save all our assets for the summer. Giannis is the prize.

Prediction start the season off 7-3.

What about the Nuggets? We play them between the Rockets and the Suns. That roadtrip west is going to be a problem. And we play the Wolves after the Bucks. You should revisit your predictions.

W vs Grizzlies
L @ Bucks
W @ Wolvs
W vs Hawks
L @ Hawks
W vs Rockets
L @ Nuggets
W @ Suns
L @ Lakers
W vs Pistons

I'll take 6-4 start gom. @ Hawks should be a W, but you know how we do in ATL with certain opies.

I'm ok with swapping @ Wolvs W and @ Hawks L but 6-4 is where I stand. Lakers didn't look too good 7-3 is a possibility.

Idk what to expect. We're a contender with KobeWade torching from the bench.

Not so much if it's Weighters throwing tantrums.

Depends on the Dion.
