If you want to nerd out over advanced stats with your fave college player, this is a good start!

I see your concerns about the finishing stats, and I need to dig into it to find the cause. From the eye he looks good, he is very young so he could be trying to finish shot he has no business taking or misstiming or missmeasuring jumps which can be cortrected with coaching. The mechanic of his layups and floaters looks very good though. Westbrook was also a bad finisher in college. If coaching can addresse this, he is easy a top 10 prospects, his speed cannot be teached...even though he does not look to finish, he would break down defenses, we need a guy like this. I think he will grow to 6.4 at least also, giving good size with that speed...

Sure sure. Everyone can improve. Finishing near the rim is very much about intelligence, reading the play, and taking advantage of mismatches.

I do not like to pick best case scenarios. Statistically, I can't compare Russ' finishing ability near the rim in college. However, looking at a guy who is mocked in the 20s and suggesting he will be able to possibly replicate the NBA level finishing of one of the freakiest guard athletes we've ever seen could lead to a let down.

Jalen Smith is nice, but his tight hips and poor lower body strenght concerns me a bit. At best he could be a Turner type but he does not have the bulk and the wingspan to excel the same at shotblocking against nba players. I like Oturu a bit better in that role

I like Oturu quite a bit. I've got a feeling that he could go before our pick. Some team might fall in love with all those tools.

Oturu and Tre have been working out together predraft. Oturu at 20 and Tre with a procured Philly pick?

Here is how the younger Kira compare to his peers playing on big time program with better coaching and better teamates, lets not be to hard on the kid, I think he can improve decision making and finishing, his potential cannot be denied with his speed, functional athletism, shooting mechanics and dexterity:

I like Oturu too, but I am rethinking taking him at 20 unless he was a bit faster with his feet and a better long range shooter (he is decent though), as Bey could have a more immediate impact, he fills alot of boxes and needs for miami right now for a run

Kira Lewis is more of a potential play as his speed is prob the best in this draft, he would be able to put pressure on defenses, we miss aguy like this

Kira should be able to kill the combines in the speed department...

I Oturu is even more impressive because he creates a lot of his own buckets unlike Smith who is a player who open shots has to be created for him. Oturu can do both.

Yeah Oturu can be a solid backup big, nothing flashy, just get the job done against the opposing bench

If Kira was to improve his finishing under good coaching and be assisted with better teamates, his numbers would be off the hook, top 10 easy:

Kira alabama

FG% : 46

3ptGF% : 36.6

FT% : 80.2

eFG% : 52.1

EFF : 19.8

Yes love Kira ball handling and skills in the open court very young dragic like. He pushes the rock and he us cat quick cutting and slashing to the rim. Was watching a scouting vid breaking down his defensive potential. Looks like he has excellent instinct and quickness playing the lanes.

Yeah this is what I like about his game too, such aestetic how he can accelerate and contortionate on his drives...Defensive potential is there too, with good lateral quickness and quick hands...he can stay in front of speedy point guards and he has decent size too...just need to had a bit of strengh, would help him finish better, he is very light under 170

Kira Lewis Jr is an interesting one. He would certainly bring something we don't have, he's super quick. I worry about his frame, kid looks like Brandon Jennings when he first came into the league. Needs to put on some weight, and some guys just can't. Averaged 1.8 treys per on 36%, solid numbers and shows he's a threat. I'd be OK with this pick. He's super young too for a Soph - still only 19.

I have a hard time getting too excited about Oturu. I'm probably wrong, his numbers are really nice and hard to ignore - 20/11 and 2.5bpg - and he's 6'10". 240lbs and a 7'2" wingspan - but watching the film I just don't get too enamored with what I see. Looks like a solid bench big, which I guess every team can use...but yeah, I feel there may be better options at #20.

Saddiq Bey remains my preferred guy at 20 if available. That's an NBA ready wing frame - 6'8", 215lbs and a 6'11" wingspan. 45% from deep - he has an NBA role right now.

I still have some hope that some of the names currently being listed in the low teens may slip. It's a very even draft, and Scouts will have their guys. They don't give af what the consensus or mock drafters say.

Yeah Ideally I would go for Kira or Bey with the first round pick and then buy a second pick for Oturu or Tillman

Only 45 days away.

We'll be welcoming Kira and Oturu to the Heat. Get ready boys!

I'm starting to like the idea of Maxey possibly being in a Heat jersey this year. His 3-point shooting has me concerned but I think he could improve on it.

I like Maxey if he is available when the Heat pick at #20. We need his tenacious defense on the perimeter and he is a better shooter than his percentages show. He’s also a terrific finisher at the rim and has a nice floater. He kind of reminds me of Jrue Holiday.

Maxey and Lewis are pretty similar, but Lewis have the better shooting, speed, potential, and better athletism

How about cassius Winston ?

Winston is not being projected to go in our range. The Heat can pick him up with a pick later on in the #25-45 range. There’s always some steals later on in the draft though. He is a great playmaker, great at PnR, great 3 point shooting, great movement shooter, can play off the ball, tough and has nice floaters. He is not a great athlete or defender and lacks size, burst and lateral quickness coming into the draft. Winston is a tier below Cole Anthony, Tyrese Maxey and Kira Lewis. He reminds me a little bit of Devonte Graham.

Holiday or Lowry? I don't see that, those guys are elite passers at their positions. Even if he improves his shot to match their percentages, I don't think he has the vision to be more than an average passer. He only averaged 3.3 assists with 2.3 turnovers his freshman season. I think he'll be like Boston Avery Bradley in the best case scenario.

Ok, more like Jrue Holiday then. He is not an elite passer right now. I also said Maxey can work on it. The player comparisons aren’t going to be perfect anyways, lol.

For those of you who want to draft Oturu at 20, what are you predicting his stats in his 4th season to be? Do you think he will be one of the better bigs defensively in the league? I want to know why we want to draft him over some of the other prospects.
