He's old as **** for a rook but my god, he looks like more athletic Harden.

Seriously, the way he moves and finishes, those step backs...pretty amazing film.
I swear all of you have Gerontophobia. I don't know when being in your early 20s is too freaking old or getting a degree before going pro is too old. I know im old but I remember a player leaving as a junior was considered coming out early.

Grant Hill and Dwyane Wade was 22 years old when they entered the NBA. CMon bruh

I mean, he ain't Dwade or Grant Hill.

I think he's gonna have a decent career, but I don't see him as anything more than another undersized SG that gets buckets. Especially since he hasn't shown evidence of being a decent defender or playmaker at the next level.

I may be hating a bit, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he became another "random scrub heat killer " over the next half a decade lol

Bro most players started there career at that age. It was only unique physical talents that entered early.

And we talking about pick number 20 . You can't be expecting Kyrie Irvin

I feel the same about your point as a fellow old head : )

And Nunn was an old rook; 24 or 25, to give a recent and nonsuperstar example. Heat fans, particularly early in the season, had no problems with his age then.

Lol, I think some want the whole roster to be teenagers. I don't know why. The Lakers were a laughing stock when they had all those young knuckle heads. The lead stories were about a players dad, ugly sneakers, and a player recording his teammate cheating. The team was hot garbage.

Just to answer counter lastb that Riller ain't Wade or Hill. Well Shane Battier started his NBA career at 23.

Think we most likely draft a high floor prospect like Bane and Tre Jones or draft a high ceiling prospect that played really well in college like Nnaji and Jalen Smith. Tyrese Maxey and Jaden McDaniels wouldn't make the cut.

Nnaji's combine numbers were great. Think he really impressed us during his workout, who could impress us even more? Maybe he could become a solid defender in the NBA.

I believe I read the NBA is allowing 10 workouts per team. Let's wait and see if the other 9 is leaked. At the very least we know Heat have interest in Nnaji.

It will be interesting to know how the "Winslow Better" experience has affected the management decision on drafting a player they didn't workout.

We probably won't even workout 5 players.

If Nnaji's J is better than expected and he can truly play the stretch 5 role, well he may be a legit option. Perhaps he's more Channing Frye than Jordan Hill.

Given our success with Kentucky picks, I wouldn't rule out Maxey. It might be easy to say that, but we obviously have a lot of trust in the way Coach Cal prepares his guys for the pros. Riley already said he was concerned about the ability for a draft pick to come in and make a difference due to the lack of preparation, summer league and short season turnaround. Not sure if that means he leans to someone older and more experienced (e.g. Bane, Flynn) or decides to go for a full on project and essentially write off their rookie season ala Okpala this year.

Its a better chance Heat already worked out all 10 players than them not ever working out 5.

I think the circumstances are different this year. A lot of the prospects we're actually interested in probably won't do an in person workout with us. We're not going to waste our time quarantining for prospects we don't plan on drafting.

Former Gophers and Cretin-Derham Hall standout Daniel Oturu blew teams away with his NBA combine shooting drill numbers this week.

Oturu, who is 6-foot-10 and 240 pounds, shot 67.5 percent from three-point range (104 for 154) and 87 percent from the free throw line (87 for 100) at the P3 Sports Science facility in Santa Barbara, Calif.

In other testing results, Oturu’s box lane agility drill (11.37 seconds), 3/4 court sprint (3.28 seconds), standing vertical jump (29.5 inches) and max vertical (35.5 inches) topped averages at his position from the 2019 NBA Draft combine in Chicago.

Overall, his 2020 pre-draft assessment was pretty impressive for an athlete at his size and length, which included measurements of a 7-4 wingspan, 9-2 standing reach and 9.25-inch hand width.

This is a good point, because we traded for KZ he didn't get summer league. As a result of that and injuries he really wasn't ready to contribute at all this season. You have to imagine that most one and done picks will be pretty rough next season.

Dru Smith very lucky he got that 500k this year. He should invest and manage a subway after all this-MettaWorldPanda

Here's that list of players who have "met" with the Celtics as of Tuesday, as reported by Grenham:

Cassius Stanley, G, Duke

Immanuel Quickley, G, Kentucky

Grant Riller, G, College of Charleston

Paul Reed, F, DePaul

Jay Scrubb, G, John A. Logan College

Daniel Oturu, F, Minnesota

Killian Tillie, F, Gonzaga

Payton Pritchard, G, Oregon

Naji Marshall, F, Xavier

Xavier Tillman, F, Michigan State

Desmond Bane, G, TCU

Tyrell Terry, G, Stanford

Teams cast a wide net in the pre-draft interview process, but this list gives you some idea of what the Celtics covet in the draft: premium shooting and solid frontcourt bodies.

One of my players of interest

Point guard Payton Pritchard has fans in NBA front offices, and some may be willing to use a first-round pick to get him. A league source told Bleacher Report there are whispers about a possible promise made to Pritchard after he averaged 20.5 points and 5.5 assists while shooting 41.5 percent from three.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2915414-2020-nba-draft-buzz-emerging-point-guards-and-latest-rumors

If he has a promise that means he is not working out for anyone else.
