17 pts @ 62% FG, 11 rbs and 8 asst for Bam
And I do not think he had one alley hoop. That is progress. Spo and Bam did adjust in the second half. Got him the ball lower in the paint and made more room for shooters on the perimeter. Herro was able to take advantage of it. Good learning process for Bam. I think he is starting to see it. That the team needs him to be aggressive. Otherwise there is no chance versus elite teams. If it didnt take a full half for Bam to recognize this, the game would of been close throughout.

Nunn got injured? Just heard Spo say he got hit in the chest and couldnt return.
It had nothing to do with the combination. It had to do with adjusting the scheme. They slowed the game down and got the ball lower. This game was about coaching. The Heat got outschemed tonight. They wasn't prepared to handle the defensive scheme the Rockets threw at them until the second half.

Rockets scouted the Heat well. They scheme to take Bam and Nunn out of the offense. They had a man waiting for Nunn when he was running off screens. Put Tucker on Bam, which confused Bam early. When Heat cutters do not get open on their normal cuts they get flustered. That has a lot to do with inexperience. Even thou the Heat have come up short against top teams, it does say a lot that these teams are scouting and gaming planning for the Heat in freaking November. The Heat have gotten teams attention.

In theory I didn’t HATE Spo choosing to guard Westbrook with Bam.

What it did do though was take him away from the defensive glass, which cost us a number of times. I guess without Butler he had to get creative, and unfortunately WB had the jumper working tonight.

Honestly, I liked the fight back in the second half. Dragic choked at the line, but we were a couple free throws and Harden late clock bullchit threes from stealing it.

On to the next one. Hopefully Yimmy is back and ready, we need our leader.

Heat actually played some NBA like basketball in the 4th quarter…too little too late.

I was upset at first but all in all a good game. We had our chances on good looks that didnt go down. That Dragic flagrant was a joke but it looked like they were at least trying to ref Harden fairly. I dont know why we kept giving Harden his favorite shot near the top of the arch. I swear he can make that with his eyes closed. Herro is getting a lot of respect and earning it. on a side note the Rockets Commentators were extremely nice, respectful, complimentary and fair which is night and day from the Philly ones from last game. That pair should televise all national games they are a treat.

unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

2nd and 3rd crippled by turnovers. But you can see the scheme adjustment at halftime is what made the difference. Image

The numbers make it seem like we should have won this game, or at least been closer than this game was.
-2 in rebounds
+3 in assists
+3 turnovers
shot same from the field
shot better from 3
made 6 less free throws
our bench scored 51pts to their 25pts

I'm just going to chalk it up to their all stars had games and there wasn't much we could do to combat it without Jimmy.

But Daniel House Jr having 23pts is disgusting and should have never happened.

Just rewatched the game. The first quarter was just simply missing shots. The 2nd quarter was filled with turnovers. Heat struggle when the Rockets went small. Offense got confused, rushed shots instead of attack their lack of height.

This is the 2nd Quarter stat line ImageImage

Liked the adjustments by Spo and the Heat played much better in the second half. Bam being aggressive on Offense was key and he needs to continue to do that. A little worried about Nunn, he seems to still lack confidence in big games on the road, hope it doesn't become a pattern for him. Winslow missed shots badly as usual but had a pretty good game overall considering he missed all those games. He made a positive impact when on the floor.
