So, the biggest question in my mind is - Who is the best attainable stretch 4/5 that we can add next to Bam?

JJ is done
Kelly is soft
Silva can't shoot
Leonard too slow

Our biggest need and upgrade area would be a big man that can shoot AND defend at a highish level.

Myles Turner might be attainable for some of our better chips,
Mo Mamba should be getable, but he's not looking good so far in his young career,
Brook Lopez isn't leaving the Bucks,
Same for the Unicorn in Dalls,
Love isn't a plus defender and is too injury prone and expensive,

Who else is out there....

I don't remember the last time we had a meaningful trade with Indy... they never seem to help East rivals out in any shape of form

maybe they scammed us into signing Danny Granger and we know how that turned out smdh

same goes for Orlando, the bish capital of SoFlo. Nice try but i'd look for Western pretenders/non-contenders.

Perfect fit for Bam isn't very easy to find, and market's not great either. Also, why is JJ done?

Randle's not very ideal but compared to Leonard he's a young, talented big in our age frame with a 'potential' contract and unique skillset; might cost too much tho

If it'll cost too much, I don't think we necessarily need a trade for a PF, just need a solid alternative to Kelly/Leonard when we play more athletic teams. DJJ's a decent bandaid there, but just a bandaid

Indiana will not help a team in the same conference team like that, who they are in battle with for a playoff position.

I still think a reasonable trade can be done to get Morris and Portis. I think that is the best bet. If Waiters fall in good grace and get meaningful playing time, Knicks may be interested. I think Waiters could have a productive future with Barrett, Knox and and Mitchell. Neither Portis or Morris are in the Knicks future. Morris is definitely gone this summer.

Contracts fit perfectly. Heat gets a playoff tested vet in Morris, and a rugged athletic stretch center. From the Knicks perspective they get Dion as an experiment (get some syracuse love) that doesn't touch their young players, get DJJ who they can throw money at this summer. JJ as some depth. Image

Morris in exchange for JJ, a second round pick and, maybe some cash. They can keep Portis and we can hold on to airplane mode.

Not a doctor but I'd assume a correct diagnosis is preferable to achieve a successful recovery.

Taunting sports injuries is one of my top 5 ' I don't know why I follow sports' moments. Outside of regular public taunting of athletes, personal or impersonal, it's just od for no reason

bone bruise takes about 2 month to heal. Hopefully Winslow is taking vitamin D and calcium .

This makes sense on why his recovery has taken longer than expected. I hope you're joking about his career being over. This usually takes at least a month to recover from, even though there are examples of basketball players coming back quicker than that. Hopefully he is totally 100% when he gets back. I expect him to be back in a week or two.

The Heat have proven that they don't need Winslow to win games. Before his back injury there was the concussion...they both lingered longer than we hoped. At this point, Justise should be viewed as a luxury more than a key cog.

I believe he could take our defense to the next level. The only thing I really would like to see us do better is consistent defense. We are able to clamp down very well in the clutch, that bodes well for our overall ability.
