Yeah I think crowder is underated here, even solomon. They are heat type of players...make us more dangerous, they play with an hedge and are good defenders. With winslow injured and waitrs not stying within his role, this make us a better defensive team. Iggy and JJ is a wash...

Also we save a little money and free the bank for 2021

Good point by Ira. Heat just got rid of $28 million off the cap this summer. I don't know about Meyers, but definitely helps in keeping Dragic and DJJ.

You gave up a 23 year old albiet who is injury prone for a 36 year old on his last legs and also injury prone.
Iggy doesn't change the dynamics in terms of winning to justify this trade.
And if the argument is 2021 cap space, he could have been moved anytime. Teams like Spurs would have been happy to take him if we needed the cap space

Bad trade without Gallinari?

1. Sounds like Winslow wasn't going to play again this year, 5 on the floor(today) had info they wouldn't release till Winslow was traded, Winslow wasn't going to play again till he was 100%.
2. If Winslow will only play if he's 100%, you can't depend on him now or the future.
3. You got rid of 2 players you didn't want around the young guys (JJ, Waiters).
4. You added a vet defender, Crowder who is a good defender and average/subaverage 3pt shooter/ and Hill who is hitting 3s this year.

I think it's a fantastic move for both teams. Memphis gets a young player they can wait on to be fully healthy, and have 2 sizable expiring contracts to move next year when teams are trying to get cap space for 2021.

Pretty much this. Winslow was the best player we gave up, and he hasn't played in a while. He's really not integral to the team's current success. How is trading someone who isn't playing for a rotation player a bad trade? Don't listen to the haters, Micky is the only one that has to worry about the money. The Memphis trade, as is, still keeps us in the Giannis hunt, and doesn't cost any picks. We jettison 2 players we absolutely wanted to get rid of in the process.

HALLELUJAH! GIVE US THE GOOD WORD

Presti is a no one. Let 3 MVP superstar players slip through his hands for Perkins and that Martin. They will never NEVER have a better team than they already had. It’s a wrap for OKC. You don’t come back from that kinda stuff. Don’t compare that bum to Pat Riley. Riley even on his worst days is superior to that guy

I agree fully but Presti (like Riley) is a shrewd customer these days. Riley must not submit to his underhandedness.

Bad business.

Guess who will be in the finals first?
Hint: won’t be OKC

For sure OKC can keep picking up a whole cargo container full of draft picks, and continue being the mandatory place the nba makes good rooks go to see where you don't want to end up first hand, and anyone good they get will always leave they are just a pen for players to get some burn before they move to a real NBA team while the OKC front office pretends at being part of the big boys table.

I’ll forgive Presti when the Thunder move back to Seattle where they belong...and his moves will do just that

Why be upset at that, lots of teams move.

He could be trade bait as an expiring next season.

Tax saving move. That’s all there is to it. We got “better” in the sense that we gave up 3 guys that don’t play for 3 guys that sorta can play.

If this is all we got (I don’t think Riley is done) it’s all rather anticlimactic

I don't mind this trade, but I was daydreaming about Gallo, Herro and Robinson out there together with 3 seconds left in regulation and us down by 2.

Was a nice dream while it lasted.
