Looking at Oladipo defensive highlights before injury. If he can get close to this defensively and be at least a 19 pt scorer he would be worth to make a trade for him centered around Nunn. Gives Herro time to take Butler place in carrying the load. The more I think about it the more it makes since. He is a better substitute for John Wall. This team was suppose to be John Wall and Butler. You get Oladipo 2nd yr post injury and Butler backcourt along with Bam taking another step, then have Robinson and Herro has you big time shooters, projects in Okpala, Silva and Vincent. Then fill the roster with veterans Dragic, Iguodala, Gallinari, Olynyk, Leonard or Cousins type. I think you got a strong contender in 2021.

Yeah Jimmy, Olidipo and Bam would be a serious problem on defense for opposing teams. If we can add a good shot blocking and defensive rebounding center and able to play Bam at PF going forward then we will be dominant on defense. I think Jalen Smith is that guy in this coming draft.

If we can somehow make a trade for Olidipo and get him for something like Nunn, Iggy and 2022 FRP and then re sign most of our guys for a single year and try run it back with a boosted roster I think we could potentially make a solid run.

Butler/Dragic/2020 pick?
Olidipo/Herro/2020 pick?
Robinson/DJJr/Crowder
Bam/Crowder/Okpala
Leonard/Olynyk/Silva/2020 pick?

I'd really like that team going into next season.

Find a way to steal Isaac from the Magic and add him to that dynamic and I'm in heaven

Rumors about us signing Isaiah Thomas for the re-start....only reason you'd do that is if Nunn isn't recovering from COVID? You'd have to release one of the Gabe Vincent/Kyle Alexanders/etc. if you're bringing him in otherwise.

Need defense, not Boogie or IT

Sidenote, Woj a gangsta? Earn some respect from the west

First things first, I hope Bam and KNunn rest up and get better. This virus is no joke.

Pretty disastrous for our restart though. We literally have no one who can replace Bam.

If it were me, **** it, I’d cut Alexander and Vincent and try grab Cousins and IT.

Boogie is no defender, but Atleast can operate an offense and be a legit scoring threat. Who knows what Thomas has left, but as a bench scorer he’d be worth a look.

Assume if Nunn and Bam are out:

Butler
Herro
Robinson
Crowder
Leonard

With Dragic, Iggy, DJJ, KO and potentially Silva getting burn off the bench.

Reports are that both players plan on rejoining the team before the games begin. I guess we will see tho.

Miami cannot trade its 2022 FRP. Stepien Rule.

Without Nunn and Bam, Gabe Vincent and Kyle Alexander will probably get chances. Gabe Vincent is a really good shooter (though he didn't show much when we gave him a chance.)

I don't have the insights like Shaq Diesel does but IT liked a photo on instagram where the page basically predicated he will sign with the Heat during the bubble.

I do not think it would require Nunn and a draft pick. This is a similar situation as Butler/Heat rumors and Oladipo is not as good as Butler. Getting Nunn for Oladipo on it's on is a good deal for Pacers. No one gonna offer a lot for Oladipo.

Fox is unattainable. He'll get a max extension which he'll likely take. If Sac doesn't offer that, he'll go to restricted FA and Sac will match all offers. All the FA with rookie deals like Fox, Tatum & Laurie are off the table. Rookies never turn down a max offer sheet. It's too much of a risk to turn down the 1st big contract.

I agree on Oladipo he's fools gold. Only one year great year while the rest have been average. Not to mention he'll be 29 and coming of a major injury while relying a lot on his athleticism. There are major red flags with him. I'm not sure he's that much better than Nunn consider he'll be asking for Max

So I was listening to the five on the floor podcast and they were talking about Oladipo being pissed with Indianna only offering him a new contract of 4 years 80mil which would be a starting salary of something like $18.6mil which had me thinking that Oladipo's market might be lower than we expect and signing Olidipo and Giannis could be a possibility in 2021.

It was recently reported from two league sources who told the IndyStar that “Oladipo wants two things: the most money possible [he will be 29 next year] and the chance to win big in the playoffs.”

The NBA is also apparently looking into the possibility of giving teams another amnesty provision, which if approved we would likely use to remove Ryan Anderson's $5,214,584 off our books which would allow us to offer Oladipo a $20,240,000 starting salary if we sign Giannis to a max.

In this circumstance I'm assuming that Riley would have some kind of discussion with Giannis to say If he say take a little less money, say the extra he would make because of the no income tax he could then guarantee Oladipo coming here with him plus resign Bam, Robinson and Nunn he would at least consider that.
