Re: Heat @ Utah 9:00 pm 2/12/2020
I didn't watch the game, but I just want to know what more excuses can we keep making for Spo? The guy hasn't done anything since he was gifted 3 HOFers in their prime (and he still underachieved with them, btw).
The franchise that Pat Riley built went from playing great defense and inside-out offensively to being a zone defensive team and perimeter-oriented.
Spo has destroyed what we used to think of the Miami Heat. I guarantee the day that Pat Riley retires is the day a countdown begins for Spo's tenure as a coach, because it's highly unlikely that anyone will be as good as Riley in covering up for what a bad coach Spo is, and when we've flipped the roster around a million times and Spo has been the only constant, he's gonna stick out like a sore thumb.

We just went 1-4 on a road trip and we’re still 35-19. This team was absolutely filthy starting out the season, eh?
Hopefully Spo finds some answers while he plays with his kids.

We're sliding fast. I didn't catch this game but DJJ, 24 mins, 5 fouls and 0 fg attempts?? I hope we don't end up regretting not moving him instead.

Glad i fell asleep through this one. This is why it was so important to win the Golden State game. Already knew this was going to be an L. Somebody needs to save Spo from himself with these small lineups. It's absolutely killing us. Bam needs to go back to PF and he needs to stop playing a frail bean pole in DJJ at PF. It's non sense.

Our main need was to get beefier in the front court during the trade deadline and we ended up with three more SF's. Crowder is viable as a small ball PF. At least over the likes of DJJ. Spo destroyed Winslow at PF and no he's doing the same with DJJ

So many issues last night, looking at the ORTG-DRTG for Miami...
Tonight's ORTG-DRG is a little misleading, when Miami got desperate late it led to a lot of quick misses for Miami and easier scores for Utah, hope to one day extract the data myself. It's going to just keep killing me to see how many games Miami will because they didn't upgrade to Gallo(and possibly adding Noel also) by sacrificing some cap space(you can always trade players, Miami got rid of Waiters and JJ's contracts). You have to LEAN IN to talent and the really good FOs will find the right pieces around them. People were nervous before the season about the Lakers only having LeBron and AD... really? A diverse team gets you regular season wins, top end talent wins championships!!!!!!!
Robinson +2
Bam -3
Butler -30
Nunn -37
DJJ -114 (0 ORTG, 0 FGA, 2 reb, 2 stls in 24 minutes) <- Would have been Gallo's spot.
Crowder +41 <- Is he just on a hot streak(which of course he's on) or does his competition/connection with Butler have some part also?
Iguodala +3
Dragic -39
Olynyk -114 (0 ORTG, 0-3, 2 reb, 1 stl, 11 minutes)

Rant deleted, I just think we are not using our full roster and guys are getting tight. Not having Herro hurts our pace only because he hasn't been brainwashed yet into slowing it down.
1. Herro 2. Bol Bol 3. Seko 4. Bruno
unless we trade up for Barrett or trade down for PJ Washington

Yes. We are misconstructed right now. You can't just run to the 3 point line then run back to the paint to defend. We need someone else down low to anchor us. I can't gripe at all about Bam. He's playing his butt off, but he can't do it all. We need a force in the paint to allow us to swarm the 3 point line. We've got the talent to do it at the moment. We just need one guy who can stop guys from taking advantage of us.

Apparently Gallo is a really bad defender. That would mean Nunn, Robinson, and Gallo in the starting lineup. We would be killed on defense and we'd have to give up Crowder to make the salaries work. Djj ain't getting any attempts with Nunnchucks out there right now chucking away.
That's his nickname when Kendrick sucks. Nunnchucks.

Yeah buddy. Nunn has been absolute poop for several games now. He ain't winning ROTM in February if he keeps up this trajectory. He has contributed majorly to several of our recent losses. If he ain't gonna be Lou Williams, he needs to have a seat.
P.S. Get healthy Nunn.
