I assume Goran will start too then, presumably.

Gogi / Nunn
Butler / Herro
Robinson / Igoudala
Crowder
Adebayo / Olynyk

DJJ will play behind Crowder if he’s good to go, but can’t imagine we will go more than 9 deep. May end up being DJJ or Nunn who gets that last rotation spot.

I like Goran starting. I'm definitely in favor of minimizing Nunn's role in the playoffs. I believe the PG minutes should all go to Dragic and Herro.

With that said, it is also very important to always have one of Butler or Dragic in the game. The offense will quickly lose identity and focus in a playoff setting without one of them 2 steering the ship.

Dragic starting is great, but he should probably be the first one to sub out, in order to make sure he can come back in to run with the subs once Jimmy sits.

I’m kinda nervous with Dragic starting, as he tends to flame out in 4th quarters. I would prefer he comes off the bench because of his synergy with DJJr and Kelly. I think Herro’s offball ability would better service Jimmy & Bam, with them handling the playmaking duties.

Generally agree. My ideal would be to have Herro slotted into the starting lineup. Force Jimmy to be more engaged offensively early as the main ballhandler with Herro there to mix it up with him (and Bam serving as the hub). Keep Dragic as the super sub off the bench so the opposition has to deal with another punch right as the subs start coming in, then maintain Dragic to be good to finish the game with the likes of Jimmy and Bam.

But, in the instance Dragic is starting I really hope they focus on maintaining his role with the bench unit as best possible. Counting on a combo of Herro & Nunn with mostly reserves for stretches of time is a recipe for us to lose leads and sputter.

Dragic has been 28 mpg player for a few seasons now and I'm sure he will be time managed better than most on the team regardless of when he enters the game. I see him as a Ginobili type player at this stage of the career with assortment of injuries in which he plays only in bursts, like 6-7 mins per quarter max.

I don't mind Dragic starting but I am scared of Herro and Nunn playing together off the bench. However, Herro's progression has given me hope. Our firepower will be enormous though.

I'd have Herro starting and Dragic coming off the bench. Dragic off the bench all season long seemed to pay dividends. I don't have the numbers to back it up, but he is a quality guy to have come in when you rest a starter. In Nunn's case, he was a big boost. I'm a firm believer that your best five don't have to start together. Having one, maybe even two of those guys come off the bench leads to more stability.

Yeah that seems lke the natural Ginobili type usage that fits Dragic the best, but Spo is not having it op.

I deduce that Spo sees Dragic and Herro somewhat interchangeable, and they are imo, and he's giving Herro that quasi starter 6th man role. And I don't see a huge issue with that.

From a skillset point of view, I can agree. However, Dragic's experience is a big advantage. I'm looking forward to Herro's game when he's a bit wiser. He's gonna be good.

Spoiler:
Still think Herro's nigh unplayable due to his short wingspan. I mean, how can you play basketball without a 7 foot wingspan??? Even when he hits a three in a clutch situation, I think to myself, "What if he had a 7 foot wingspan, that three would have been even better...". 8-)

Anyone know who is doing the game for TNT? Just praying it isn’t Reggie Miller.
