Not crazy to think that Spo could end up in the top 4 before his career is over

Haven't even thought about Spo's legacy in all of this. Pretty wild that he's got that many Ws to his name.

He's so young too. He's got 30 more years as a coach if he wants to.

One thing he's really had going for him is player development, and with this squad he's got them playing very sound defensive ball. Offensive too, but the defensive rotations really stand out. These players are trained for this type of switching. The execution is high level. They can't play it all game, as it's very taxing, but when they do, they're a machine.

The biggest issue I've had with him over the years was his substitutions and timeouts. I would get fed up with what I felt was poor timing, and "feel" of when to replace guys, or stop the game to reset. These playoffs, he's been a lot better. He'll call a timeout and I'll nod eagerly in approval. His rotations to rest his key players have been more consistent too. If Nunn would just reward Spo for his faith, I'd say he's done an amazing job in the bubble.

Still can't understand why most of this fanbase was against adding CP3 other than that stupid 2021 dream when you had a damn good team already, this team should be better than it is now.

He was an often injured old player with a big contract. That’s a terrible mix lol

It would have only cost Winslow and probably filler salary. You have a window with Butler who is now 31, you do what you can to win a championship because you never know what's going to happen a year or 2 down the road.

Okc didn’t want to give the heat back their first round

No, OKC didn't want to give back BOTH of the Miami picks they had but I get why Riley was insistent on at least 1 if not 2 draft picks(I wouldn't have been because I looked at CP3s numbers when he didn't play with Harden last year and of course... the eye test), because he saw the same thing I saw, if OKC kept CP3 they wouldn't be tanking and with that drop further down in the current lottery season(which they did). I did't expect OKC to be as good as they were but I thought they'd be near the end of the lottery since they were in the West.

That's interesting to hear, don't know if he really means it or if he's trying to put even more pressure on management to get better players on the roster no matter the price.

Nothing is stopping him from signing the super-max and trying 1-2 more years in Milwaukee before forcing himself out but at that point Milwaukee is going to ask for a ton for an under contract Giannis trade.

Refs f**king over the Nuggets during the first half. That was honestly hard to watch.
