Yup. And it's almost as if the Lakers decided they weren't gonna let him go for 40 again and instead pack the paint on him to force our shooters to beat them. You know, like everyone itt was expecting going into the game

Butler cost Miami a title tonight. He's the "Max" player, the "leader" and he was deferring to K.Nunn in a finals game, way to lead.

Thats totelly was the momentum shift and the dagger. Lazy shot. Should have attacked the basket. The lane wa open. This is why we need a superstar. He is not enogh he is not consistent.

I actually thought he figured it out after Game 3, I was wrong. He had a 30 point half this last season, he's had a 40 point half earlier in his career and now in a game they needed to stay alive he was deferring to inferior players. He had 17 shots in a Finals game they needed which would be ok if he was deferring to players who were hitting but he wasn't.

That shot, missing that shot left Butler the furthest he could be on the court from being able to get back on defense. It would have been different if he had just hit 2 shots and was "hot", but he wasn't.

Still don't know why Nunn got so many minutes, put DJJ out there, you would have gotten better defense and maybe some more rebounds and possibly won the game.

But if he passed up that you would be flaming him right now for not shooting it.

He was wide open and in rhythm with his dribble. It was a good attempt.. Just didn’t go our way.

FYI - We defended the proceeding fast break well. You either give up an open lane to Lebron or you force him to kick it out to a shooter. We forced the latter and KCP made one hell of a shot. It happens. It’s basketball.

This is the play I knew it was probably over, Nunn passed to Butler and then Butler passed it right back to Nunn, screened D.Green to have AD switch onto Nunn with the shot clock getting ready to expire. I don't consider that a smart nor winning play by Butler, that was him not being aggressive.

Not the best offense.. that’s for sure.

But did you really think it was over? 9 minutes to go and only down 2 possessions. Have some faith my guy. All it takes is 1 shot to fall and everything can change.

It was a bad shot, he wasn't in a shooting groove at that point, it was out of nowhere. Had he hit one or 2 shots before that and thought he was "hot" sure, go for it, it's a bad shot but at least it would be a heat check but that wasn't the case.

The game was tied at 83 with 6:27 remaining. From that point, it was a calamity.

Herro travel. Missed free throw. Shot clock violation. Bricked 3s. Poor rebounding. Left shooters wide open. KFC blow-bys.

Yes, I've followed Butler my his whole career, he was shying away from the moment and nobody else was really hitting, it would have been a sweep without an aggressive Butler in game 3, now he's only been aggressive offensively in 1 game and it's the only one Miami won. I had hoped he was coasting most of the game to be aggressive in the fourth, I was wrong.

I'm guessing he has too much faith in his teammates, but that doesn't follow his mantra, I'll do whatever it takes to win, because it took him being very aggressive for Miami to win. Bam coming back probably made him think to play more team vs him attacking.

There's a reason why he was 2nd worse +/- for Miami at -11, Herro was the only one worse at -13.

Also, phuck LeBron. Front-running scumbag. Guy says all the right things to the press, but you just know this dude doesn't respect our team or franchise.

Ill attach Duncan with him.. duncan is a one trick pony.. and Spoelstra has created that kind of player over a hundred times.. if some team bites, they can have both. There hasnt been a player Spo has faiked to turn into a good 3 point shooter. Hell he could make Ben Simmons hit 35% from 3

What this team lacked this nba finals is a veteran scorer, which is what Dragic was for us.

Replace Nunn with any proven vet scorer, like a JJ Reddick, and we are tied right now.

With that said, we have a very bright future.

This game is too fresh and painfully obvious who didn’t step up. Tomorrow sure lets make excuses for his play but not tonight. One player played like a Star when it mattered and one didn’t. Take what you want from it.

Duncan needs to hit up some NFL free safeties in the off season and work on that footwork and agility for defense. I'd rather have my 85 y/o grandmother out there playing defense. DRob is getting COOKED out there.

Bruh, you're talking about a single play out of a 48 minute basketball game. You don't win or lose a game on a single possession unless it's a game-ending buzzer beater. Let it go. Move on.

I belive we gonna get a big time player sooner then later. We could won this series. Too bad the team was a no show for 2 games. Still not over dou. If we win game 5 its open another door.

That wasn't the only play he deferred, that was just the first example I found on twitter. Butler did it all game long, hence the reason I said I thought he was coasting the first 3 quarters to go hard in the 4th but I was wrong.

Bro he was wide open. They were locking down the paint and he was taking a wide open corner three (which statistically is the most efficient 3). Give it a rest.

You’re complaining he wasn’t being aggressive enough but you’re also complaining he shot the ball? It wasn’t a bad shot at all. You take open corner threes and live with the result.
