He’s a great story. Went from being waived, to a developmental two-way player, to a legit rotation worthy forward that landed a really nice deal.
A good news story, and a solid endorsement of our development program.

Loved this kid's time with us. I knew he'd work hard, and he did not disappoint.

I’m happy to hear he can defend because otherwise his stats aren’t huge at least yet in his career. Seems like he’s a class act as well with a cool underdog story.

He was one of the best in our zone defense. We played him at the top of the key.

Really enjoyed having him on the team. You always had an amazing, memorable play to look forward to with him on the roster. Thats what its all about. The memories.

He's the best athlete in the NBA imo. He's definitely a useful player on a good team, the bottleneck really is his shooting. Coming into last season Spo said DJJ was the hardest worker and had put in a lot of hours to improve his game over the offseason. That was why it was a little disappointing that his 3pt shooting never really came around.
He played a bench role for us until we got Crowder and Iggy which is when Spo fazed him out. I still like him and I don't think you guys paid an unreasonable amount. He's still only 23 and has a lot of room to grow so I think that potential is worth something. I still remember a game I attended in person last season vs the Blazers. Carmelo and DJJ got into a back and forth during the game and DJJ got the better of the matchup. Definitely think that he's an upgrade over Melo.

Thanks, excellent info and I’m glad to see he’/ likely to be a useful tool for us and possibly a starter. I’m really growing to like the possibility of him and Covington starting together from a defensive standpoint
