I dont think very likely without a third team. Because of his contract you’re still talking about a package of Hero, Nunn, Olynyk, Iggy, + another guy.
Heat do not need to match the salary dollar for dollar. I think they just need to send at least 30 mil. But I think it's something to watch dependingon how the Rocket season goes. And what would the Rockets want.

Another player I think to watch depending on how the season goes, is Draymond.

We wouldn't take on John Wall even if he can for free, his salary alone is big negative. Cap space > Wall on his contract.

Draymond same thing. Guys that way overpaid and are on decline, aging, dealing with injuries. That's not what we need to target IMO.

We'll have a ton of cap space next free agency.

That just means Lakers are locking in their core talent. They won’t be able to add any game changers, unless they come heavily discounted (or some dumb GM gifts them one in a trade). We know what we’re going up against, and how much firepower we need long term.

That’s not a bad thing, that’s a good thing.

Given how much Miami seems intent on playing Iguodala, how hard it is to see Beal becoming available this year, and Miami not using Nunn, Miami just might opt to shop Olynyk and Nunn in a smaller trade.

I could see Miami trying to make a tradewith OKC or San Antonio to get veterans from them they likely won't have any use for.

Miami gets: George Hill and Mike Muscala
OKC gets: Olynyk and Nunn

Miami could also try to trade Olynyk for Patty Mills or Rudy Gay (Miami has had an interest in Rudy Gay in the past).

Mills and Gay are both on expiring deals. I think Muscala is as well. George Hill has another season beyond this one left on his deal for ~$10M.

The way too early look at a Precious after 2 games, he's currently #6 in rookie scoring at 9.5 pts in 16.6 minutes a game which equates to 20.7 points per36.

He'd actually be a good fit next to Bam and would give Miami 3 guys who can have the offense run through them(Jimmy, Bam, Blake) while allowing Herro to play more as a SG while learning to be a playmaker. If Miami can get him for salary filler and a player like Nunn it seems like a good move to make this roster stronger. He's also only under contract for this year and next(PO), I'd also look at K.Love, he's rebounding, passing and outside shot also works well with Bam and Precious.

I know Miami's been interested in Strus for a few years now but I kind of wondering if Strus was added just in case Miami needs to move Robinson and want another good/cheap 3pt shooter ready to replace him somewhere in the rotation. If Miami adds another very good player where there's now 3, Robinson's role probably changes because there may be less plays ran for him and utilize him/his position more of a roleplaying 3pt shooter/spacer.

Very nice gesture on his part. I'm not surprised, former teammates and fans rave about the guy's character.

This is gonna be a long experiment where Spo is gonna try and make it work with both Herro and Duncan on the court together. Currently they do not have a system that works. Without a point guard who can regulate who getting the 3 pt shots between Herro and Duncan, they gonna step on each other toes.

Return to Miami Heat
