Thats fine, there might not be a single team in the league better than the Nets when its all said and done.

If there are no whales to be had, perhaps cast out a rod for 2 or 3 big fish and hope that the ensemble of talent and chemistry will make up the difference.

Lavine's name is popping up more and more these days.

There's also Oladipo and Tucker.

One of these guys alone doesn't move the needle much, imo, but getting all 3 would be a major boost to contention status.

The thought of Dion poppin up in the locker room again is all kinds of wild. He was talking real spicy in The Bubble. :nonono:

No way we’re getting all three - Houston will be looking to get a lot of assets for Dipo & PJ.

One thought I’ve had is on expanding the Lowry to Heat deals and throwing our major assets to include Pascal. If we can keep Jimmy/Bam/Robinson then we have a legit starting 5 that will give the Nets problems. Depth will be an issue, but we should still have enough with Bradley, Nunn/Vincent and a few others.

The best Mia could offer for Lavine (without given up Herro) is Duncan, filler, and a bunch of picks and swaps.

For Oladipo and Tucker, they'd have to get creative and involve a 3rd team who would be willing surrender picks for Dragic and Precious.

All I know is, with Bam and Herro for the next 10 years, we’re going to be competitive each and every season.

It’s funny, Adebayo and Tyler are what we were hoping Winslow and JRich could become.. I’ll never forget all the times I would get hyped up over Winslow making a layup!

I remember all the monster games haha. That one was the big breakout. Hit like 6 treys from memory, including a dope step back. Point Winnie was one of my more memorable moments as a fan, felt like we finally got that breakout we were hoping for and Justise finally got the role he always wanted here.

Alas, it was fleeting. Injuries and role changes again and the emergence of Duncan and Nunn last szn were the death knell. I just hope dude can get back playing ball, he has the talent to be a really high level role player but the body is letting him down.

EDIT: Oh you mean the 2nd year game. Yeah I remember that too. Had like 23/13/3 - such a shame he phucked his shoulder a few days later and missed like 90% of that szn. It really set him back.

WinSlow, man that’s a guy I completely forgot about. What happened to him? I just checked Griz team and don’t see him anywhere. Reading around a bit I can’t believe he hasn’t even played a game for Memphis yet? Jeesh

I wonder what Phoenix would demand in a trade for Jae Crowder? I think Crowder would be a perfect fit for us at the 4

This is a great point that we often lose sight of. Bam is locked up for the next 5 years, Herro is controlled for the next 7 & Precious the next 8. We can possibly add certainty for Robinson and Nunn for the next 3-4 and KZ is controlled for at least another 4-5 years.

We can count on this core for the next 5, and possibly add a max player to it - that’s pretty exciting when you frame it that way. Yes there are super teams, but what we’ll have will be amazing feel like a true Heat team.

the biggest what could have been in Heat history since Wayne Simien imho. you know KO misses him

he's got the style, looks, defense, the boy has it all. if he could make layups and be healthy, why couldn't he be at least Ben Simmons?

All I got to say is: I still mess up spelling of "Justice" thanks to this guy :x

Loved Winslow but the guy was a negative from an advanced metric standpoint each and every year in the league. He is the type of player who needs an entire system to be created around him to excel.. up to the point where he is the showcase piece. Thing is however, he just wasn't ever good enough to be that guy who warrants creating an entire system around as it never lead to long term success for the team.

Very similar to Ben Simmons, but not quite on the same level. Simmons is a much better athlete and a much better natural passer.

I do miss him though. I was always excited to see him play. Winslow, Jrich and Bam were my boys back in 17'. Now 2 of those dudes have been replaced by a Precious Herro.

It’ll be nice to see Nunn get into a rhythm. Fans gave up on him quick

He seems to play well when heavily criticized..

Nunn is hot garbage, we should trade him for cash considerations ASAP

Expect a career night on Friday.

The issue with Nunn I'm afraid is this - If his shot isn't falling, he's not brining anything else. That's a problem.

His defense/Passing/IQ just aren't good enough for him to contribute on a night his jump shot is cold.

No one stays hot forever, good players find other ways to help. Even last game Nunn REALLY struggled to run the offense with bad passes in the 4th. I'm not sure how much he can improve on that at this stage and age.
