AB needs to start the game with Herro off the bench.

IDK if I want to kill Herro's confidence that fast. While I do agree that AB is a better fit with the starters right now if that's the case long term it'd be pretty sucky for us. We need Herro to make that role work if he's gonna be a meaningful piece for us.

AB isn't durable enough to be a full-time starter (he hasn't shown that ability in years at least). 55, 46, 63, 49 games played in the past 4 szns

He's better suited as a backup (7th man next to Dragic) so that the team won't be disrupted too much by him going in and out of the lineup

Guys I missed the game.

How did we look. Did Zion outplay Bam?

Did Butler get hurt?

Did Herro look better than the Orlando game?

Bam was solid, he didn't take over the game or anything but like usually he was doing a little of everything.

Herro was inconsistent but had a few highlight worth plays.

Jimmy got hurt against Orlando (Ankle). He played the first half but it tightened up on him in the locker room and he did not play 2nd half.

Iggy played very well in his absence. Precious really had some great minutes, especially a few key defensive stops against Zion down the stretch.

Avery Bradley looked great, Harkless was meh, Duncan was on fire in first half but couldn't get any shots up in the second half.

Goran was awesome. Looked like Bubble Goran.

I guess Zion outplayed Bam but he didn't look great, kinda put up empty stats and looked pretty frustrated throughout the 4th quarter.

Jimmy's ankle stiffened up on him at half so they felt that it was better to sit him out. Nothing new though, same injury from the Magic game.

Herro didn't really look better than the Magic game, less turnovers maybe and he had a nice step back three but he still needs to figure out the new role I think.

Feel like we need to work towards a way to close games with both Bam and Precious in the lineup by the end of the season.

Really would like to see Spo start to mix in some regular pick and pop action for Bam and see how he performs from 3. If Bam can unlock his inner Bosh and Achuiwa can take Bam's current role that would be a recipe for disaster for opposing teams.

I'd start Leonard or KZ if he eventually works his way into the rotation then have Precious come off the bench and play with Dragic as they have been playing great together but then I'd have Precious close with Bam.

Precious and Bam will probably happen in the future, but I don't know if that's something they want to invest in right now if we're trying to make it back to the Finals

Precious can’t be any worse than Harkless from the corner three spot. Spo should give it a crack with him and Bam sometime in the near future.

Unless we make a trade or if KZ becomes something the only other player I think I'd trust in the playoffs at the PF position is probably Iggy and I feel like he would be pretty close to Bam as a shooter if we gave Bam a chance.

Spo has already shown a lot of trust in Precious giving him a good chunk of minutes and allowing him to closeout the game today without playing any Summer League or a full Preseason. Also the sooner we diversify Bam's offensive game the sooner he takes the next step in his production. I'd love to see Bam start catching the ball in a position to shoot rather than always catching it looking to pass or set the screen hand off.

Obviously I trust the organisation to know when he's ready to start doing that more but I am just eagerly waiting for that moment.

While its definately too early to change i just dont see Tyler suited for a starting PG position. If you want to keep him as a starter and we should for his confidence , Jimmy needs to handle the ball more until Dragic gets in. Maybe he needs to learn a bit more but looking at this it just doesnt suit his playstyle. 2 times in a row he struggled to get shots up in the 1st quarter and after that he forces a bit too much to catch up number wise.

Too little of ball handling by putting Bradley in the starting lineup.

After 1 game Bradley is better than Crowder, eh?

Hopefully he doesn’t miss 20-30 games this year per usual.

And the comparison really doesn’t make sense because it wasn’t one or the other nor do they play the same position. The better and more appropriate comparison is Harkless and Crowder and I don’t think there are any Heat fans claiming that Moe is their guy between the two.
