I’m starting to feel like our staff does an excellent EXCELLENT job of making solid players and raising trade value on all these gleague bums and then when it comes time to sign guys Riley comes in and just signs Duds like Harkless, Granger, Bradley, McRoberts etc etc. said it long ago and I will say it again, Riley has lost it. We need to hang onto Spo as he is responsible for turning all this gleague scrubs into serviceable players. But I’m not seeing how Riley “the Don” is helping in any way....

This is an overreaction. Everyone was singing his praises early in the year, he missed some time and had an ofd night. Yall arent built for the ups and downs of this season.

he's been better. he was chit tonight though. i didn't watch the whole game but he couldn't even see the pass from Jimmy in one possession. his head might not be in the game completely yet.

I haven't seen anything that wows me about the guy. He seems to miss open 3's more times than not

Have to wonder if his good defense is worth the bad offense him and Iggy on the same line is a disaster

The reason you do that trade is because you're teaming up Harden with....
Butler, Bam, and Dragic(he couldn't be traded at that time) plus you'd have Bradley, Harkless, Leonard(stretch 5 for Harden) plus Vincent and Strus. That team would kill the current Heat roster.

fatass is leading Nets to the all time worst defensive rating with whopping +3 differential

HEAT are sinking fast into no mans land....they are looking at returning from that west coast trip 10 games under .500. No point riding this roster into the ground when some of these guys still have trade value.

I agree. I believe we could get two first round picks for him too.

But I doubt this organization makes a bold move with some foresight like that.

I think they're doing some testing with Strus in games and tonight they had him playing some of Robinson's minutes in the first half. He's a guy who isn't phased about missing shots, shoots 3s pretty well and gets them up pretty quickly. He'd be a much cheaper knockoff version of Robinson.

Everything else aside, Strus is too small to regularly play the wing IMO. Last thing this team needs is another guard. We already play way too small, last thing I want to see is Strus guarding 3s.

Too many guards now, not if there's a trade of sending a package of multiple players out for an upgrade so Strus would be a solid 3pt shooter off the bench when Miami needs more 3pt shooting.

Wouldn't go nuclear on the team just yet though

We're just now getting everyone back healthy after all that COVID bull ****

That said, tweaks are definitely needed going forward

I think we need to stop playing so much zone. We're giving up the most three's in the NBA and we're continuing to play zone.

Malik Monk may not have hit 9's tonight if he didn't get so many open ones from the initial zone defense (which got him into a scorching hot rhythm).

I will say DRob is proving to be one of the better shooters I ever seen playing. The rest of his game however is subpar in every facet. No dribble, no defense, no layups, no floater, no mid range game, and hasn’t created a shot for himself in his entire life. As great a shooter as he is we can’t pay him anything close to 20mil if we want to win a championship. He’s basically Kapono but with a nicer stroke and better haircut. We got to trade him before we lose him for nada

The Herro and Robinson backcourt just does not cut it defensively.

Its really disturbing me how obvious this is, yet it seems like the Heat dont realize it. That with the refusal to play Bam with Achiuwa is mind boggling and sad when you think about how highly rated our coaching staff is.

Whoever Herro guarded in OT went a combined 4/5 against him. Absolutely unacceptable. I don't see how we're making the playoffs. We've fallen in too deep a hole and are worse than last year.
