We are going to need changes. I'm both anxious and excited about the all star break.

Miami is now 6-14 when Olynyk doesn't score in double figures. I think this says more about not getting balanced scoring causes Miami issues offensively and puts more pressure on the guards to score more.

Cmon bro 10 points from your starting PF is a pretty big ask in today's NBA

Right, Miami is 10-4 when Olynyk scores in double figures and you're bringing in Iggy to back him up who also can't score. Although Crowder wasn't anything great, losing him and not replacing him was a huge downgrade especially when talking consistency. Don't say Harkless was his replacement, Harkless cost nearly nothing to sign(3.6 mil) which says a lot about his value in the league.

Yeah PF is obviously the 800lb Maple Dick in the room. I don't care what else they do to tweak the roster, I'll never be confident in any team going into the playoffs with Kelly Olynyk starting for them at the 4

Which is ridiculous. The offense should never be dependent on Olynyk.

Our hope is that Bam, Herro, Nunn, Precios, KZ improve enough, and quickly enough - to still help prime Butler.

Or that we can get f3rd star in a trade for most of them.

Currently it looks the young guys need at least 1 more season of improvement for us to truly contend. And Currently there isn't a big star available in trade.

It is what it is - root for the young guys to step up and hope for the best.

Adding a real PF that can play now would also help, but unless it's a star PF (which isn't available) - I'm not sure it takes us over the top.

This is the creation of the FO, they didn't want to go past 2021 with salaries and with that were fine downgrading the roster that went to the finals and lost. Olynyk only came off the bench and got a DNP during the finals and yet the next season he's the starter.

The FO has just been infatuated with the thought of a top tier free agent and nearly completely ignoring that they had a a team that had the ability to win a championship already(which may have happened if Dragic and Bam were in normal health in the finals).

It's beyond frustrating to watch another team overvalue the youth and undervalue what Butler does for the team. I keep reading from fans that Herro can't be traded unless it's for a superstar? Miami wouldn't put Herro in a package for a possible top 5 player while retaining Butler, Bam and Dragic... what the (#)$)(#.

Is it not apparent NOW how much better Butler makes teams yet? Jimmy comes back and this team goes from horrific to very good and starts a winning streak, he goes out again and this team drops 80 points against one of the worst defenses in the league that still is missing players.

It is what it is, Miami overvaluing youth and wasting Butler's last good/great years. The difference he makes on teams is incredible. Chicago was a playoff team with him, horrible without, Minnesota gets to the playoffs with Butler and Towns makes 3rd team all-nba, nothing after, Miami gets to the finals with him and can and is beat by anyone without him.

I sure hope Butler signs an extension this summer because if he doesn't and he just declines his 4th year and retires... this franchise is going to be hurting for a long time. This "incredible" young talent isn't all that incredible, it's got the potential of being a .500 team.

Miami's future may be Bam, Herro and Robinson as your top 3 paid players, that's not a great future nor a good use of a team's cap. at.

I'm not paying Robinson cause he can't create a shot, but that's me.

meanwhile JOhn Collins is showing us what we wish Bam was doing on Offense. This all, all of it fall back on the coaching staff.

They are the ones making Bam play at the top of the key of defense completely out of any chance at offensive rebounds or blocks. Trying to protect the precious fouls while we struggle to keep pace in games makes no sense.

They are the ones that leave Tyler and Gabe under the basket against opposing bigs.
They are the ones refusing to play Bam and precious.

I dont know what the fascination is with playing guys out of position but Spo has been in love with it for a long time. Bam aint blocking no 3point shots why is he at the top of the key? How many times must we take shots with nobody crashing the boards. These players have been crashing the boards their whole life but all of a sudden now they are clearing the paint... for the opposing team??

We scored 80 points yesterday.. at best we can do that by 1/2 time. And this rotating debilitating injury is more than suspect. Tyler Herro out for weeks with injury we didnt see on the court. Tylers back but uhoh Jimmy is out for a week. There are easier ways to rest players... play your bench let them thug it up for a while or "hustle".

I would love to see Bam back someone down spin and lay it in over and over and over. Those days dont have to be gone its called being unstoppable. The Heat used to have unstoppable players.

You're not the FO.

OKC was basically begging to move CP3 to Miami so they could continue their rebuild. OKC later were fine with moving Gallo and Noel to Miami but Miami didn't want to give Gallo a contract that went past 2021. This year Harden was a possibility and Butler even went on social media to like a post about Harden being good with going to Miami knowing key young players in the trade would find out he did that and still... NOTHING.

I expect a small move, probably Bjelica which will make Miami dangerous with Butler but nowhere near as good as they could have been with Butler on the roster had they really tried to upgrade during Butler's window. Maybe Gay since the Spurs are ready to move on with life without Gay during his missed games(last 4) because of safety protocols, could be "extra cautious" with him to not risk him being hurt if they're considering moving him.

BTW... Rudy Gay during his games missed while not playing because of "Safety Protocols". Seems you may not want that player being in contact with players on his own team let alone other team's players.

I love me some Demar.

Doubt we can get him though. I'd honestly target him over Oladipo in the summer, however.
