Also I think the Hawks have trouble keeping this roster together past next season as those young guys start moving off their rookie contracts.

We would have to trade Jimmy. We can't take on a reclamation project while working on Jimmy's timeframe ... let alone a reclamation project with a max contract.

I wouldn't take on Simmons's contract for free, you'd have to have 4 great 3 point shooter around him which is very hard to get, And Jimmy and Bam are the worse fit next to him.

Also guy just isn't right in the head. He's too old to be afraid to dunk on trae young.

I'm sure they will get rid of Gallinari very soon. I wouldn't be surprised its this summer.

Its not even about being a shooter. Kid won't attempt a layup. That is inexcusable in any error. He would of been benched in the 90s.

Back to the Heat. They need to send Herro to the summer league. He still needs development. Can't be wasting games experimenting if you are a title contending team.

We're not a title contending team without major scoring additions.

We can't win when every bucket is so damn hard to get.

Poor duncan running a marathon a game and people dreaming about Bam magically becoming a natural scorer.

Not a winning formula./

All the shooters in the world around him won't matter because he's afraid to get fouled. All that talent gone to ****. Imagine being afraid of anything on a basketball court aside from being undercut and falling on your head. :nonono:

Herro needs to ...

1. Focus on his shot.
2. Focus on his shot.
3. Focus on his shot.

If he doesn't improve there, he's just wasting everyone's time.

Want Herro to work on getting to the line and making the right passes.

But otherwise not against clandestinely packaging Bam/Herro for the next available star (although I know the attachment to drafted players are like babies birth from womb **until they sincerely underperform or get injured)

Herro needs to draw more fouls and increase efficiency. Bam needs to shoot more midrange jumpers and attack the basket. Outside of that, it doesn't matter how others improve their game. Our future rides on those two getting better at putting the ball in the basket consistently.

He will draw more fouls once he become a better shooter. He needs to make defenders over play him like defenders do Robinson. Then pump fakes and driving lanes will open for him. He can't play a physical style like Wade he has to play like Trae. He not the fastest player nor the strongest player.

I think its his handles. Just watch Booker. The biggest difference between the two is that Booker can get to his spot on the floor and get that midrange. Booker isn't beating defenders with speed, he's playing in his own pace and getting to his spots on the floor. Same thing with CJ. Even Steph, he has incredible handles, and he has too with 2 or 3 defenders hounding him.
As a guard I don't think you can be elite without being able to handle under pressure.

Number 2 would be being a better shooter and three would be getting better at the floaters. But if he can't fix his handles his ceiling is limited to just a high level role player

Great to hear he's going. If he decided not to go I'd hope Riley would have dragged his butt to Tokyo himself. Hopefully he can pick up some stuff from the other allstars. And also he better recruiting while he's at it.
It's a shame Butler probably won't go. He needs the rest but he could been out there recruiting as well

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but why did we pass on Tyrese Maxey for a project big man with a pretty low ceiling again?

Getting chewed out by guys like Draymond and KD for not shooting will be good for Bam. This should be a great offseason for him and may help him take his game to the next level.

International ball places more emphasis on bigs playing like bigs inside, hopefully Bam can take to it and come back with some interior assertiveness

We got spanked by the Lakers mainly because of their size. Makes logical sense from our front office to draft a big.

Lot of guards as well Nunn, Herro, Robinson, Dragic and Vincent

Sitting back today, I have decided I am all in on depending on internal develop to become stars in Bam and Herro and possibly Nunn. Unless there is knowlegde in the front office that Herro lacks focus, betting that Herro will take two steps forward after taking a step back last season and become Ginobli is what I am gonna do. I am down with building around Herro, Bam and Butler with Lowry, Steven Adams and Rudy Gay.

PG: Lowry - Nunn - Oladipo
SG: Butler - Herro
SF: Robinson
PF: Adebayo - Gay
Ce: Adams

I don't mind the idea of signing Dinwiddie and trading for Porzingis. Bring back Dipo on a prove it deal. Re-sign Robinson.

Dinwiddie / Oladipo / Vet PG
Robinson / Herro / Strus
Butler / Ariza / Okpala
Adebayo / Achiuwa / UD (it'll probably happen...)
Porzingis / Dedmon / Vet big

That's a pretty balanced lineup. Probably a little more injury history concerns than I'd like, but that team would compete.
