It's that time of the year again - time to get our hopes up before they're crushed by Iggie's jinxing.

Last year we were all (besides eddieheatfan) too optimistic and on average expected 6.5 more wins.

We still have a roster spot and 2 way contracts to add but the roster is close enough to our final form..So...

His willingness to change style to fit the roster is a sign of growth …

We will better defensively with Duncan on court than off. Simply due to who he plays with, though.

Bam calls out Jimmy for not giving 100% in a game, and Jimmy simply takes it on the chin.

During a slow start, Rex makes 0 posts about trading Jimmy, starting the rebuild and tanking the season. Meanwhile, AirP turns on Jimmy and demands we trade his bum ass - at which point Grumpy ask for decorum and praises the decision to Herro and let Nunn walk.

Failure = not making the 2nd round

Two different seasons in one, before Oladipo then with Oladipo(when the rust is off), players ppg will drop once Oladipo is back.
Also, Tucker being in the starting lineup means more scoring for others, with a decent scoring PF those numbers drop.

Butler 22 ppg (could be less if others can score better this year... talking mostly Herro and Oladipo)
Bam 20 ppg
Herro 18 ppg (wouldn't be surprised if it's 20+ if he's looking only to score off the bench)
Lowry 16 ppg
Oladipo & Robinson 14 ppg

4) Who will be our best overall new addition (new to the rotation)?

Lowry with Strus for the bench. Oladipo was already in the rotation last season.

5) Who will be our best overall young/inexperienced player? (Herro/Strus/Omer/KZ/Vincent/2 way guys like Garret/Deeky)?

Herro, he'll be a good scorer and still be a very bad defender.

6) Which player will make the biggest improvement from last year?

Strus although people will really push Herro because he's scoring more.

7) Who will be the biggest disappointment?

Vincent or possibly Tucker since people will fixate on his ppg.

8) What trades will we end up doing during the year (or even before the season starts)?

Probably no sizable trade till possibly next offseason.
Longshot? Miami goes after Bagley III trading Tucker and a couple of young players.

9) What will be the biggest surprise of the season? (positive or negative or both)

Some will say Herro scoring, I think Strus being a better scorer then expected.

10) What will our board posters write about Spo once this season is over?

Get rid of Spo because they want Herro and his horrific defense starting.

11) Predict a nice/interesting statistical nugget you can see happening with the team or a player.

Could have 3 guys near 20+ ppg by end of the season although Oladipo coming back may drop them too much. (Tucker's non scoring is part of that)

Oladipo coming back and taking shots away from Herro.

This question is nonexistent, if people can pretend buildings don't have a 13th floor because 13 is unlucky, I can do the same for this question.

14) What will you consider a success/failure this year?

Being mentioned as a contender by the end of the regular season. Going from a big 3 of Winslow, Richardson and Bam to a legit contender in 3 years really should be a success. If they're not considered a contender without major injuries, that's a failure and that's on the FO.

15) What will be the biggest factor to impact our success or failure this year?

Butler and Lowry being able to win close games.

16) What are your picks for Eastern champions, Western champions - and finally NBA Champions?

Eastern Champs... Brooklyn
Western Champs... Dallas (they have moves to make)
NBA Champs... Brooklyn

17) Bonus playoff question - How far will we get in the playoffs and how will our season end?

Second round although defensively they can match up with Brooklyn better then most teams can. I think Miami's weak links get exploited to the point where the fanbase may turn on offensive only player's they've liked for a while.

2022-2023 is the season Miami will have their best shot at a championship with this current cast. Oladipo should be back and ready to go, a major trade with a package of Tucker and one or both of Robinson or Herro may happen to fix the situation at PF, Miami can and will go into the tax, they won't be hard capped and Brooklyn's stars should all be declining.
