I hope Bosh is truly in his ear. Bam has to evolve from being a role playing aka Kenyon Martin to a go too player star like Chris Webber.

You rarely see a passive shooter like Bam become a shooter but it's not impossible.

Brook Lopez in year 9th started taking five 3s per game (up from 0.04 3s per game in previous years) and never looked back. Bam's role isn't as simple as Brick's but he could start taking five 3s per game at 35% and everyone will be happy :dontknow:
That's the only way I see this team not to disappoint gom, Bam's breakthrough year.

You are looking at soley 3s. Bam issue is not shooting a 3 instead of a 2. Its taking more open shot attempts in general. Let's look at Chris Webber when he jumped to 24 pts a game he took 20 fga, and 23 fga when he average 27 pts. Bam is still sitting at 12.5 fga a game. Im not asking him to shoot 23 fga, but he needs to be in the 16-18 fga range. He passed up open midrangers that he can easily make. It will not make difference if Bam start taking 2 3 pointers a game but still only averaging 12 shots a game. And at times when a 7 footer backs up to the rim he forces a drive into the defender.

Good point. Chris Webber would be a great player for Bam to model after. Bam seems to have a lot of similar traits as a versatile big.

I expect that Spo will run a defense that will press the point a lot. Using Lowry, Vincent, Oladipo, Garrett and Okpala on defense as the 1 on defense

It's at least encouraging, I'm more interested in when the regular workouts start and him getting the rust off him. Unlike his last surgery, he does not have time to wait, he's got to produce as soon as possible with time running out on getting a sizable contract again in his career.

Not hearing enough fake news on Sexton, little worried that he'd end up in Philly

He would be silly to rush this. Expecting him to be a star calibur player this season is setting yourself up for failure. His only goal should be remaining healthy and show improvement physically throughout the year. And maybe just maybe playoff time show some spark of high level play. But if this room expecting him to be a star or failure this season, its gonna be some unreasonable hate in here. Which I think will happen.

My outlook is watching him improve physically. And then he gets a whole off season working out learning his new limitations after fully healing. Then next season is the year to judge him to what he will be.

I am pretty sure he will be on a maintenance plan the entire year. Spo has been strict on that regardless who the player is coming off a serious surgery.
