No. Jimmy means a lot to this club on & off the court. He’s not as good a scorer, as you said, but it’s the other stuff that helps shape who the Heat are. It helped attract Lowry/Tucker/Morris, and will help attract our next wave of FA signings once Jimmy’s over the hill.

Right now, realistically we only trade him with his consent.

Right now? No. But I may change my mind after this season.

No, Jimmy is a top 5 impact player in the league and has shown he can lead a team in the postseason.

Nope. Jimmy isn't as fancy but he is more effective and assertive than Zach. I think we have a higher ceiling with a core of Butler, Lowry, Bam and Herro than we would with Lavine, Lowry, Bam and Herro.

Herro and Lavine would be a nightmare for the opposing team to deal with, but the defense wouldn't be there, and when you add in a guy like Duncan Robinson, the defense would get even uglier.

It's beyond on court performance at this stage with Jimmy.

Despite only being here a couple of years - he's the undisputed leader, heart and soul of this team. It's being built around him. We got his BFF Lowry. He's tight with Bam.

He ain't going anywhere, he's the franchise player and we go as far as he takes us.

Which is great because he's a dog, and a winner.

There's no logic behind this trade for either team.

Jimmy is not tradeable. Heat culture and respect go out the window with him. You can't say this is your main guy and he is perfect for the culture and blah blah blah and then turn around and trade him the first chance you get..

To do that trade the Lowry signing wouldn't make much sense and we'd probably look to trade him too. It would mean a changed timeline and looking to the future building around Lavine, Bam, and Herro. The Heat want to win now with Butler and Lowry so no.

I was proposing trading Butler for picks and prospects over the summer. I think the outcome may have been a better team in a few years, but Miami made a different choice, a better choice in my own opinion. We are going to stick with it until the end.

Hell no. Jimmy is putting up TOP 5ish player numbers this season, and we're probably seeing peak Jimmy now.
