I was super excited with Miami's hot start in the season. Were coming back to earth as the habitual middling 4-5 seed we really are.

We're scouted. Clog the middle, force us to beat you from downtown. We have no inside presence.

I was listening to Zaslow this morning and he was talking about people asking Bam to shoot 3s. Zas was all "Why does everyone have to shoot 3s?"

Well Zas, not everyone in the NBA has to shoot 3s, but on this Heat team we happen to have another max guy who doesn't shoot 3s. So either Bam or Yimmy is gonna have to learn (or re-learn, in Yimmy's case) how to shoot 3s or else this is gonna be a perpetual issue. Name me all the NBA teams whose two best players can't/won't shoot 3s. If you can come up with anyone other than Miami, then tell me how many of those teams are actual playoff contenders

We have a great floor with our defense and passing and overall team IQ. But our ceiling is and will be dictated by our 3pt shooting. We might be able to avoid danger if Duncan and Lowry can seriously pick it up, but I guess my point is that we should welcome the idea of Bam shooting 3s if he's actually capable of hitting them

Tyler hitting shots put the Pistons on their heels. Our starters have GOT to hit 3s to keep defenses honest or they just pack the paint. If Duncan gets back to what he was and Kyle hits 3s at his normal rate, we could melt teams from the jump.

We also play off of our defense, you saw when we took over it was due to us getting stops and going back down in a hurry keeping them on their heels.
