Herro should be thriving by dominating the perimeter with his jumpshooting.

3s and 2s.

Why would a featherweight try to play like them? He should learn from Ray Allen, Steph, even Jordan. Jordan was a killer shooter. So was Bird. They didn't need to get to the line like Westbrook or Wade. That's for wings that are strong and can't shoot.

Herro can shoot.

No one says he has to live at the line, but if ALL you're doing is jump shooting, then what is supposed to happen on cold nights? He's already the teams designated bailout option. 6 secs left with nowhere to go? Pass to Tyler

He does need to bulk up so he can take sime contact when going to the rim, you need to mix up your game to be lethal, he is just a jump shooter right now, when the shot is not falling or he gets pressured by stronger defenders he gets cancelled, he cant overpower them or blow by them with lightning speed. He is definitely a work in progress, i just dont think he will ever be a franchise player, i already see a lot of shortcomings.

He’s going to be nonexistent again if we end up playing the Bucks again in the playoffs. Does Pat see this and scan the league for any stars he can get for Herro to go all in to win it? I guess we’ll see

I also thought it was a knee at first. Glad just the ankle though a bad one. He needs a few weeks off

Because of covid, Jimmy bones probably don't fully heal....I agree that he needs a couple of weeks ...although we are depleted

I did not and-one either of your posts. Statistically for average NBA guards, Herro will enter his prime in 4 seasons.

Thats is exactly what he is an average nba guard.
I dont really agree with a lot of post on the board and that is precisely why i dont and one almost any of them. Its all good opinions are diverse and complex

You're all wrong on Herro, his issue is mental. He thinks too much, makes hesitant passes, sometimes lacks confidence and refuses to dominate.

He has the skills now to get at least one 35 point game a week and actually has regressed since preseason.

Spot on.
Herro is thinking too much. The reason he refuses to dominate is because to dominate it requires taking shots away from others, and as a starter that would be from Jimmy, Lowry etc., it is not happening. As a bench player, he has the green light and freedom to dominate even through mistakes.

Listen and repeat after me, Herro doesnt have the skills of a franchise player, i dont need three years to see that, he gets games like this because defenders lock him down, period. See if they could do that s hit to dwade, lebron and any other franchise players. His dribble is garbage and his passing is even worse.

I'm sure Herro is going to work on drawing fouls and dribbling this off-season. Give it time.

players -never- magically turn into something else

they are who they are, and you see it on the court. try and give me examples of players who "just give them time to improve" and they turn into something else? never happens.

we have prime examples in our own very team

Strus, Vincent, Bam, Duncan
