2022 NBA Draft Prospects
Didn’t see a thread for this yet. So here we go.
We are likely to have a late FRP so feel free to post and talk about your favorite prospects for the Heat.
I’m liking EJ Liddell (OSU) and Wendell Moore (DUKE) atm.

I haven't kept up. Would be okay drafting and stashing another big.

bigest need seem to be a stretch 4, or a high upside PG

A real point guard for the future would be nice.

I think TyTy might be out of our range by the time the draft swings around. He’s got a good chance of gaining range during the tourney, and this years PG class isn’t very strong - more wing & big heavy.
EJ could be a great pick for us as a stretch PF who looks to be able to shoot the 3 already. Wendell might take a little longer. But both are slightly older, which lowers their ceiling - but that’s okay for us, we’re not looking for an all-star here, just someone who fits the bench needs.

Will take a look at them. I'm vague on every prospect right now.
And you're probably right about Washington. If he keeps it up, he will likely climb out of our range.

I'd be surprised if this pick isn't traded after drafting.

I remember 11-30 with these guys. ^

The 2023 pick is the big ball & chain - we need that to convey asap for trade reasons.
I can see a world where we do flip it for a future pick, if only because we have lots of youth already and the future pick will be more valuable as a trade chip.
I can also see the scouting team falling love with a fit player (stretch 4) and taking them.

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Prospects
At this stage it looks like the whole HOU/BKN/MIA pick swap dynamic is unlikely to dramatically effect us. Good news.
I haven't done a deep dive on any prospects really to this point, but just looking at who might be around the mark. I think our biggest need would be additional depth if we lose a shooter, as well as SF/PF options. It feels like we tend to favour more experienced college players too.
- Jabari Walker, Colorado, PF/SF, 6'8", 200lbs, Sophomore
- Ochai Agbaji, Kansas, SG, 6'5", 214lbs, Senior
- Christian Braun, Kansas, SG, 6'7", 218lbs, Junior
- EJ Liddell, Ohio State, PF/SF, 6'7", 240lbs, Junior
- Jeremy Sochan, Baylor, PF/SF, 6'9", 230lbs, Freshman

Re: 2022 NBA Draft Prospects
If we get a 2nd round pick somehow, I can totally see us going after Josiah Jordan-James. He’s got Heat written all over him.

I enjoyed listening to that. Good find. Leading with Tari Eason had me paying attention. He looks like the player we wanted KZ to be.

Anyone got any view on Justin Lewis?
Another Marquette guy who on paper appears to fit what we’re looking for. SF/PF, 6’7”, 7’2” wingspan, 245lbs.
Averaging 17.1ppg, 7.9rpg, 1.7apg, 1.1spg, 0.6bpg, 2.0tpg in 32.4mpg on 45%fg, 35% 3fg (1.8 per) and 76%ft.

Haven't seen enough of him, but is touted for his scoring ability. We could use some of that.
