He's born to be a Thunder. He'll fit right in and maybe someday he'll turn into another 2nd round pick somewhere.
Keep working on his jump shot and maybe he can stick around like Stanley Johnson, Winslow, etc. there is no shortage for wing defenders in this league

Never will I miss two letters as much as I’ll miss these.

Appreciate him so much we can’t even spell his name right in the appreciation thread title

That about sums it up

There's people who will say we gave him plenty of chances.
In reality, KZ did not even play a full season's worth of games for the Heat in his 3 years (63 in total).
He began putting it together this season when an opportunity opened up with all the injuries, but it was too little, too late for him.
I think all the injuries this season showed us that players need a chance to develop. Meaningful minutes in meaningful games.
I hope KZ gets that opportunity in OKC and I thank him for his help in getting us through injuries.

One of the most unrecognizable names he has
he should have been named Okapi. would have been a fan favorite imo

I daresay he never showed improvement offensively. Hope he develops into a rotation player somewhere.

Sadly he was a poor representative of his community.
With his lack of shooting.

Okpala looked good in the draft workouts. He looked bad after that, this year he looks good again. Let's see what he brings to the Thunder.

Maybe next year Strus expiring for KZ??

I think it showed me 2nd round picks are for trading off bad contracts, time is better spent scouring G league for role players.

He does have tools to at least be a solid role player but, if he's gonna make it in this league, he needs playing time and opportunity and it may not happen in one season. I'm not sure if he'd even get that opportunity with us next season with us.
I think he can at least be Derrick Jones Jr with offense, but even he took a few years to develop and find an identity in the NBA.
Another player that's gonna lose out on development is Gabe Vincent, when Dipo comes back. It's a shame because he's been very solid for us. Like Yurtz with Dedmon expiring this season, maybe there will be an opportunity for Gabe when DIpo's contract expires.
I wish KZ the best and hope he gets an opportunity in OKC that we couldn't afford him here.
