Good to see Strus not following Duncan path of suckiness.

Did we lead start to finish? Missed a big part of the 1st.

Pretty much...Bulls went up 2-0 and then something like 6-2 I think but once we had the lead after that I think that was it.

The scorekeepers this season have been really bad.

They didn't give Herro credit for this steal. Granted, it was Jimmy who deflected the pass, but Herro ended up with the ball.

Derozan 30 point streak ended, barely got halfway there but stat stuffed in the 4th with the game over. Vucevic got locked up too, thanks for the $300. We’re some DAWGS!!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. We would straight embarrass them in a series. They don’t want any parts of it. They’d be lucky to push it to 6 and I just say that out of respect for Derozan and Lavine, they can each get you 1 game if they catch fire

Yeah, he's saying that was the correct call. The steal credit goes to the person who created the steal, not necessarily the person who ended up with the ball.

That must've been a change recently then because it's always gone to the guy who gets the possession, and it makes sense considering it's just a deflection without gaining possession of the ball.

To be clear:

Pass is deflected, which creates a loose ball situation, and the defending player who gains control of the ball is credited with the steal.

Edit: the NBA rule book does state that a player who deflects a pass is credited with the steal. Don't know how recent this change was, though.

But I still don't agree with it. Without possession of the ball, it's not a steal. I guess they're goal was to reward players who make deflections by having it show up on the stat sheet.

A perfect playoff bracket would be Bulls/Nets in the divisional round then conference finals. I believe the Heat would have no issue getting past either team tbh

That's certainly not consistent then, but neither is what qualifies for an assist lol. Just another day in the NBA

The player that deflects the ball away is the one credited w the steal. Not whoever ends up w it
