Oh, my beloved Spo. We've been through so much together. The Wade GOAT years, the Big 3, the Bosh and Whiteside debacle, and now the Butler/Bam/Herro ball years.

If you've noticed, likely not, I've been saying you’re now the greatest coach in the league. You consistently get the most out of your players and the job you’ve done this season has been amazing. You will worst case be a finalist for COY.

I do have one complaint though (outside of spamming Bam DHOs), I think this season has proven that you are prioritizing philosophy over roster maximization.

What does that mean? Basically, that you have a system that you are trying to fit players into instead of maximizing the players that you have on the roster and creating a system to get the most out of them.

Is this because of Dipo?

Yeah.

It just makes little sense to me how this dude is riding the pine. The team is struggling to score in the clutch and elite clutch play has proven to win in this league. Easy baskets, great playmaking for others, great defense, great 3 level scoring, veteran leadership, etc all relieve pressure from guys like Jimmy, Bam, and Herro by opening things up way more for them and having another guy out there who can get his own basket at will.

I know you prefer speed, spacing and gang rebounding and Dipo adds to all of these. We’ve all seen it, i know you have too.

(And Dipo can shoot, you know Dipo can shoot it)

Dipo just put up the greatest stat line we’ve seen in a Heat jersey since Jimmy in the 2020 finals. That has to count for something.



The game before our first 40-10 regular season game since Wade in 2011 Dipo did this off the bench. Willed this team to a crucial win in Toronto to lock up the 1st seed while displaying his great defense, 3 level scoring, explosiveness, and clutch play.

Gabe is not the answer, Spo! Our ceiling is so much higher with Dipo fully integrated into the rotation, you have a week or so before the playoffs. That’s plenty of time for an elite coach like you to figure this out and make it work.

It's real simple - Gabe brings good defense and he's a good fitting ROLE player. He fits next to our main players because he defers and plays off of them.

Dipo is a star trying to make a comeback, he might be a better player in a vacuum but it's unclear if he fits with our established core players.

I'm hoping Spo finds a way to try and get Dipo involved anyhow, on theory he could learn to co-exist next to Jimmy/Herro (one of them in a time as the secondary playmaker).

To me Gabe is a lock to be in the rotation, I trust his defense and IQ. Dipo should get a chance to steal Duncan's minutes.

Whether Gabe or Duncan I’m fine either way. He has a week or so of practice to get it worked out. I honestly don’t know how much practice time they even were able to put in over the course of Dipo being back. They may have just needed this time to get in the gym and reset. It’s very clear to me he has to play though, just flat out too good to not be in the rotation in some capacity

We have a couple dilemmas on our hands, a great one in Dipogate and to a much lesser extent, Yurtgate.

Which, if either, will prevail? Will Spo see the misfortune he’s bringing upon this team? We will know Sunday.

Yall hype up poor man ray allen too much.. and im not talking about prime Ray. Hes the poor version of year 17 Ray.

When we started to throw heavy minutes his way, our chemistry was off, we started to lose games. hes a better individual player over gabe and caleb.. but not that much better. And hes definitely no a better fit

The 2 times he got legit rotation minutes he had 40-10-7-2 on 60% shooting one game and the other carried us in a crucial win in Toronto and killed in the clutch lol.

You guys are dense as hell. He’s too good to be riding the bench and that’s a fact. I hope to god we retain him for cheap this summer if he doesn’t feel completely disrespected.

Even if you feel like he isn't that good, can you really say Duncan is better? Seriously speaking. At the very least, he deserves min over Duncan because he will not be a complete defensive liability. And can't get any worse offensively. I don't want to hear about the "gravity" stuff either, because everybody saw we got significantly better in the SL without Duncan's "gravity" by replacing him with Strus.

My take is that he’s a better than Gabe as a bench back-up PG, but Gabe is reading things better from Spo’s perspective.

I think he’ll get minutes within the first series and there’s a good chance he breaks-out in a way that forces Spo to use him.

Yes there was some chemistry **** going on, but it was deeper than Dipo. It seems to have been addressed now. When we get to the PO it becomes about wins, so those big egos will want the best on-court with them. Dipo is that, in limited minutes.

Next season was always going to be his first full season with us, and to a degree he’s been blooded like Robinson, Strus and others before him. He’s getting a taste this year, and will be let off the leash next year.

The East being wide open this season has forced Spo to be more conservative with integrating him. This will have been well communicated with Dipo, and considering there’s been zero rumblings from him my guess is he’s happy and has a contract promise for next season.

He’s nothing compared to Wade lol, no one on this team is.

All star dipo would be our best scorer and go to scorer in the clutch lol. 23-5-4-3-1 is pretty damn good and great 2 way play. If we had all star Dipo We’re wining it all.

That being said, he isn’t all star Dipo but all things considered he’s probably the 5th best player on the team and in terms of getting his own bucket at any level he’s top 2. We gotta maximize the talent on this team, not waste away while Gabe and Duncan are putting up stinkers. I hope both of them come out on fire but they’ve both been terrible lately.
