Kyrie is the Modern day Stephon Marbury and you know what. I would take Marbury over Kyrie

Lowry to LAC for M. Morris and Reggie Jackson.

Jackson is on an expiring and worse case scenario, Mia could play him this year and could maybe get K. Nunn type of production out of him.

Otherwise, his 11m cap number could be packaged with Duncan and other assests either in a bigger 3-team deal or later moved at the deadline.

Kawhi and Lowry can reunite on the midnight cookie run adventures.

I know everyone here wants to make this deal as I see it discussed alot, but I see absolutely no reason for the Clips to trade 2 solid players for a part time aging PG. Not a single reason.

They reportedly coveted Lowry last offseason and the previous deadline to that.

He Kawhi and Powell also have a rapport from their championship days with Tor.

If they would do it, I wouldn't be opposed to it. Jackson is not a starting caliber in my opinion as he is way too hot and cold. He has too many off nights going 4-12 but when he is hot, he is great. Morris is steady and could fill PJ's role some.

Kyrie, Grant and Bamba is a pretty solid offseason.

If Mia strikes out on the names being mentioned, Wendell Carter playing next to Bam would be an interesting dynamic to consider.

Don't know if Orl would trade him for say Duncan and pick(s), but I kinda like his fit for this team.

I think they prefer a Carter/Smith frontcourt to a Smith/Bamba, which is why we're rumored for Bamba

I assume a Bamba for Duncan deal is one being discussed

Going through Jerami Grant trade scenarios and I'm thinking a final offer might end up looking like this

C Omer Yurtseven
SF Duncan Robinson
PG Gabe Vincent or SG/SF Max Strus
27th pick (1st 2022)
2023 1st round protected pick

Total outgoing salary- 20.4

for

PF Jerami Grant(Signed extension) 20.9 incoming salary
46th pick (2nd round 2022)
2023 2nd round pick

Final Roster

C Bam Adebayo C minimum salaried big
PF Jerami Grant PF/C PJ Tucker
SF Jimmy Butler SF Caleb Martin
SG Tyler Herro SG/SF Max Strus
PG Kyle Lowry PG/SG Victor Oladipo

The package was good. Unfortunately it did not fulfill the Pistons request for 20.9 million open salary slot. Who knows it very well could have been a final offer to Detroit that was turned down.

Off the wall thought to land a whale, so bear with me for a moment...

If Kyrie leaves brooklyn and KD looks to leave it would be interesting to see Riley throw a package like this out there:

Lowry, Robinson, Herro, Yurt plus 3 or 4 distant future picks

for

KD and Claxton (S&T) to match salaries or Sharpe

We then emphasize the resigning of dipo and caleb and give Dipo the starting role.

Starting lineup would look like the following, Dipo, Strus, Butler, Durant, Adebayo. Gabe could potentially start in Dipo's place to allow the Heat to have more play making coming off the bench from Dipo.

The value to Brooklyn if they look to be losing KD is the multiple picks. Lowry only has one year left as the last is a team option, and he could spend that time working with Simmons on the mental aspect of the game. Tyler and Duncan both slot in well next to Simmons as they increase his space to work and allow him to remain an oversized point guard. They can also look at Duncan's fit next to Simmons as a way to rehab his value for one year get decent numbers from him and flip him to a contender for the last three years of his contract. The picks help justify to their fan base the build towards the future, and it gives Nash a team that might actually listen to him.

For the Heat it puts the time line in the now with a generational talent and takes the scoring burden off of Butler. Between Bam KD and Butler there doesn't need to be a traditional floor general starting as KD's gravity will open the floor up for Butler and Bam. KD coming down also entices PJ to stay do to the friendship established in college. The heat would be top tier team for the next 3 or 4 years for the duration of the Jimmy and KD contracts and would then get to look at where they stand.

I think it would be interesting to see, but a lot depends on if Kyrie leaves Brooklyn and if Riley can sell Marks on the Herro Simmons combo.

Lowry, Herro, Vincent, 2023 FRP or Kyrie

Robinson, Yurt, 2028 FRP for Barnes.

Re-sign Tucker for 3yrs 8.4mil
Re-sign Oladipo with Bird rights 6.3mil
Re-sign Dedmond for Vet min
Re-sign Martin with part of the tax payer MLE 3.2mil

Kyrie/Garrett/Undrafted
Strus/Oladipo/Undrafted
Butler/Martin/Jovic
Barnes/PJ/Jovic
Bam/Dedmond/Undrafted

Save the remaining of the MLE if Wall is bought out and bring him in as backup PG at the deadline.

Do that and we could stay under the tax line this season.

Miami outlook:

Ayton, Dedmon
Bam, Highsmith
Jaylen, Caleb
Mikal, Oladipo
Kyrie, Vincent

We give up a lot, but we reset our core by several years. I think all the other teams involved benefit for win now goals or in BKNs case, lots of rebuild currency.
