You knew very well its not about the vaccine. The problem Kyrie is he wants to do his own thing and doesn't put the team first. There's just no guarantee with him for some reason next season he won't go AWOL again. And when he does there's isn't a damn thing the team can do about it because he cares more about being right than the team winning or even himself loosing money. This is why majority don't want him because if loosing 17 mil can't get him in line what can ?
Amazing how people acting Kyrie just started to be a problem when the COVID vaccine came out.

Lol not subtle Orlando

I just don’t think Bamba is the kind of player we’re interested in. Motor wise, he doesn’t scream Heat to me.

in all seriousness would you swap Duncan and Bamba and give Bamba a deal close to Duncan's?

Or do we think we can get bamba for the MLE?

Under Option A, you get rid of Duncan

Under Option B, you KEEP DUNCAN and PAY Bamba.....

And its not like we like to pay the Tax, so option A makes more sense for us. Unless you think someone will magically trade cap space for Duncan, remember the Knicks gave up a high draft pick to move someones with half Duncan salary and half his years.

Take the swap and run.

Bamba going to cost 16-18 mil. Something like what Markkannen got last year. We can S&T Duncan with a pick and might be able to get something done. Bamba looks like a very realistic target and is worth us gambling on his talent in our culture.

Would Bamba ever sniff the court at the end of games?

Highly unlikely. He’d be a plus version of Meyers Leonard for us.

Waste of money then.

A lesson that Duncan hopefully has taught the FO.

Can find cheaper options to play limited minutes.

Prime Gallo was a pretty handy player. It’s a solid comparison. Jovic probably not as polished as Gallo offensively, but offers more playmaking potential.

I'm all for trading Duncan but would rather add someone at a different position for 16-18mil than the C position. Bam is going to play that roll for us when games matter.

You only get Bamba if you think he can play the 4.

Shot 38% from 3 last year, and 78% from the FT line.

I think they view him as a guy that you can play with Bam at the start of games and in stretches. Bam would almost become the 4.

Exactly. If he can play the KO and Leonard role but better then you can start Bamba and Bam and have a three man front court rotation with Tucker.

But that's the thing, I don't think we should be paying 16-18mil for someone who's going to be playing limited minutes at the start of games and the 3rd quarter. Would much prefer to somehow get Harrison Barnes and pay him that much. Someone who might actually play over PJ in the playoffs or who could also play minutes at SF if needed.

I've always been impressed with Gallinari game dating back to his time with the Knicks. I'll be thrilled if Jovic goes on to be the next Gallinari
