I'm actually quite shocked that we signed Oladipo as quickly as we did. Hard to imagine us picking up Mitchell if we signed Oladipo.

Also surprised that Oladipo committed to signing here unless there was already something else in the works. Unless Miami just offered him more than other teams were prepared to.

Feels like Oladipo signing was an indication that guys were being moved for someone like Durant and now that the SG spot is clear Oladipo was committed to returning.

We have the pieces to get both Kyrie and Collins...but we'd rather be used and played for leverage again. If we'd stop dreaming we could have

BAM
Collins
Butler
Dipo
Kyrie

Our package is too weak...And Brook will ship Durant anywhere, because Durant's short slighted a** didn't give himself a no trade clause or a quickie opt out.

And Mitchell is nonsense, Danny Ainge would gift wrap him to the Celtics before he would ever send him to Pat Riley.

Cannot believe my team STILL does not realize when they're getting played. We simply picked the wrong free agency year to blow our wad. Like 5/6 years of saving up, just to give 50mil per year to Duncan and the world's fattest PG in his mid 30's. Can't make this chit up.

As of right now after signing Oladipo, Dedmond and UD with the guys currently on our roster we have like the 6.4mil of the mini MLE to spend. Once we do that puts us right on the tax line.

If we trade Bam, Herro, Jovic and Robinson

Nets get Herro, Bam, Favors, 3FRPs and 3FRP swaps

OKC get Jovic as the sweetener and absorb Robinsons salary.

Heat get Durant.

Nets then trade Simmons in a separate deal and get more players and picks from somewhere like Sacremento. Maybe Fox and some draft picks.

Doing this would also free up enough cap room to utalize the full MLE and still be under the tax line

Wed then have

Lowry/Vincent/Garrett
Dipo/Strus
Butler/.5MLE
KD/.5MLE/UD
Dedmond/Yurt

That wouldn't be too bad all things considered. Hate the idea of Dedmond guarding guys with KD up front when games matter.

Praying we can get this done without giving up Bam would feel much better having Vincent guard up then Dedmond.

I strongly doubt Bam would be in any deal. He and Jimmy, along with us as an organization, would be the only reason we’re on his list.

Its gotta be Lowry, Herro, Robinson, Yurtseven, 3 x FRP and multiple swaps or something if we’re a chance. Even then we probably get trumped.

We’d be praying for:

Vincent / Vet PG
Strus / Oladipo
Butler / Martin / Jovic
Durant / Vet PF
Adebayo / Dedmon

Something along those lines. Perhaps bring back Kieff Morris and look for other warm bodies / young uncut gems.

From memory you have time before the tax becomes an issue though. So we could find a home for Dedmon later in the year for example once he’s eligible to be traded.

^^^ As long as Ben Simmons is included in the deal, Bam can be sent to Brooklyn, but it may be difficult to find a 3rd team to take on Simmons contract without the Heat overincentivizing.

Who is offering this better package then us?!

KD listed 2 teams, Suns ain't got a better offer then Herro + all the picks.

Not worth it to lose Bam for this ageing hired guns.

If KD want to go to a gutted team that offered to world for him, good luck to him.

KD + DIpo+ Butler or Kyrie +Bam+Butler

Which would you like better? Putting down my fun police badge for the moment

And what would you think about a Vincent/Yimmy/KD/Simmons/Yurt line-up?

This group makes it easy as hell for people to take yall for a ride. Yall so desperate for news yall missing the obvious back tracking, details that can't happen, reports after known reports come out etc.

It's funny that KD hasn't spoken to Nets management until today when he requested the trade, yet this has been in works. Also no GM is going to not make a KD trade request public when he has 4 years left because he said Miami or Phoenix. They will announce it. Try to get better offers then try to sell him on a different spot with a better offer. Ultimately will try to get him to his preferred teams thoughs.

Was a whole lot of talk about Tucker staying until it was dead obvious he wasn't.

Dipo originally wanted Lowry money...but when it was pointed out how ridiculous it was the very next update changed to a a lower range.

Went from only getting updates at a certain time and having to leave phones at the desk to frequent updates.

Brunson news was said to align then when it was proven BS there was an update we didn't get as he got it coincidentally that one time?

Team laughed at Kyrie and wanted nothing to do with it but now they're hoping to pull it off.

The Donovan Mitchell packet was sent out days ago but Miami is waiting TODAY for a response as if they just sent it?

KD was supposedly a done deal until posters said if they're supposed to believe he will be traded 3 hours after a request. Very next update....he won't be traded tonight.

For days he had no names no teams to report and had excuses why but the day the trade request falls he asks who is the target and its durant. Could always change the time on your phone and it'll change time stamps

Enjoy yall ride man. It's obvious this man playing with yall

I know they come with their warts, and they're not very exciting names BUT :

1) Galiniari - still a good scorer, elite shooter, that can really space the floor for Bam and Jimmy. If we get him in shape, he might be passable on defense.

2) TJ Warren - another really good scorer/shooter, IF we can get him healthy, could be productive here.

Both of them are the opposites of Tucker - He was all defense and they're mostly offense.

But they're probably the best gambles to take ATM.

Not if Dipo and Herro make the leap. It's possible. Bam too. Omer too.

I rather get Mitchell TBH.

But I sure ain't giving up Bam and Herro for old KD and headcase Simmons.

Why would you ignore Dipo in your second option? He's not in the Kyrie package, Lowry and Herro are.

Kyrie
Dipo/Strus
Jimmy
Bam
Omer

That's the way to go if you ignore the fact Kyrie is unbearable.
