Finally quells all the absurd trade rumors. Thank goodness. Tyler must be killing it in camp and obviously the front office is pleased with the way he came back. If RJ Barrett is worth this type of money then so is Tyler Herro. Welcome back boy wonder

Good for Tyler, that’s a lot of money lol. They must’ve been impressed with him in training camp. This kills any chance for a major upgrade unless we’re willing to unload all our picks, let’s hope he continues to improve and is worth the money.
He’s 100% starting now, Dipo will fill his role off the bench

Well, there it is. I wonder what this means for Duncan and Lowry’s contracts moving forward

I'm almost 100% sure they will be salary purged for expiring contracts before the deadline. At very least the writing is on the wall for Duncan's contract. We are already pressed up against the line so a good majority of Tyler's salary is going to put us into heavy tax if no move is made.

Great for Herro. It should be a huge confidence boost for him going to the season. I still think he has an allstar level ceiling. I'm less confident he hits it then I was at the start of last season because of his poor playoff performance. But the FO feels different, hopefully he repays it in the playoffs. If he has another poor post season run, he'll be shipped off for sure next season. And now that you paid him, you have to start him to try and make it work.

Feel like Herro and Dipo are going to end up being the starting backcourt at some point this year. Keep an eye on that Westbrook deal for Lowry and Duncan everyone hates but clears almost 48 milly off the sheet and allows us to easily absorb this extension. Westbrook was also working out with Dipo all summer.

I guess it's time to start thinking about Westbrook in a Heat uniform!
A number of guys have to know their time is limited in Miami and the players on the roster have to know their roster quality will probably be a lot less by playoff time then it is now, gotta dump salaries before the deadline.

Chrisitian is right. Lowry is getting shipped out for a big expiring like I have been saying for a while now.

Do we reroute those picks and westbrooks expiring for a major upgrade? Lillard finally has enough after he passes Drexler in scoring?

No, Miami has to cut salary for next season, they have way too much on the books, have to bring in expirings.

Well deserved, glad this is not going to be a black cloud hanging over our team all year.

Good for Tyler. It’s a lot of coin and he needs to continue to improve, but the market is the market.

Um... you now have black clouds hanging over multiple players instead of just one.
Investing that amount of money and not locking it up for 5 years is very... interesting.

Lowry started off so damn good last year what a shame.
