Let's switch our focus from the offseason to the regular season.

May our season be prosperous with confetti at the end.

It was eventful and uneventful at the same time. Glad we're finally on to something meaningful.

So yeah the current issue is with Yurtsman and Dipo out, we have to find enough scoring off the bench.

The bombers will need to be out for blood: Robinson, Strus, Jovic

Perfect game to get some Jovic minutes in there blended in with the bench. If spo finds a couple spot minutes to stagger Bam and him together it would be delicious.

A lot of good games tonight, NO vs BKN, CLE vs TOR, DEN vs UTAH, DAL vs PHX are some of the ones that interest me.

Spo gonna have to stagger Herro and Butler going forward till Dipo gets healthy. One of them should on the floor at all times unless its garbage time

Or move Lowry to the bench play him along Jovic, you have two playmakers, pick and roll players together along with 3pt shooting in Duncan & Struss. Move Vincent to start instead, he provides less playmaking but better rim pressure and equal to better shooting than Lowry. Just an Idea!!!!

The real concerns aside from our roster construction are Lowry and Dipo being washed and Duncan being ridiculously overpaid. Our salary cap may be beyond repair in the near term. We almost have to give Duncan big minutes and a lot of shots in hopes of finding a sucker to get that contract off our books ... winning be damned. Lowry and Dipo will resolve themselves next year.

Dipo has played barely more than 1 season's worth of basketball over the past 4 years combined. No point waiting for Dipo to make his big return because he ain't coming.

Lowry/Robinson for Westbrook and try to get a pick. Both will have a resurgent year playing with Bron & actually help them make the PO. Brodie will expire at the end of the season and can’t be much worse than Lowry.

If Nets suck then I’d be open to trade them for World B Flat. We know he has respect for Riley and will provide a lot more than Lowry on the offensive end, taking the load off Jimmy.

Less than an auspicious start but we'll get to it... it is kind of funny that we depend on yurt and dipo

I just watched KD's highlights in his home opener and got so depressed. Really wish we could've gotten him. He makes it look so easy.

like i said in the prediction thread :

our biggest hole won't be at PF, it's at PG.

Lowry was a big mistake, he's beyond washed and probably one of the worst starting PGs in the league. Also he looks mentally checked out.

I'd take 90% of other teams PGs over him. He's not good at either end at this stage, and he's in the worst shape on the team by far.

I'm praying we could somehow get rid of his fat ass and somehow get a true scorer at PG. Maybe a D.Fox type. Someone that actually wants to be here and fight to get wins.

Lowry/Duncan + our 2 picks, we need to make a move if we're serious about contending. This team can't win in the playoffs with an out of shape passive midget that doesn't give a **** as our starting PG.

We've got the worst record in the NBA fellas. At some point you gotta call a spade a spade.

The sense I get is that he didn’t take the offseason chatter about his fitness kindly. He’s never had a FO that has been as openly critical & was probably expecting to have them sucking up instead of putting the hard word on him. Our national media isn’t great, and local reporters aren’t gonna let him come into camp overweight.

We really need to be a buyer at the deadline this year and maximise the desperation of those tanking this year. There will be some good to great players available, as long as we’re willing to pay.

I still can’t believe this organization went in confidently this year that the 6’5 205 slim Caleb Martin was going to fill the void at the 4. We didn’t even try to get a cheap vet option to bridge Jovic. Terrible offseason. Ranks right up there signing Mo Harkless to play the 4.

Our starting 5 has 2 players (40%) that have no business being starters on a good team : Lowry and Martin.

Martin is a fine bench player that is getting paid like a bench player. It's not his fault we're giving him a role he's not suited for.

Lowry is a big **** up we brought upon our self's, and we need to solve it with a trade. He's washed physically and mentally.

Jovic might be the answer at PF, but Spo won't try it until we're totally desperate.
And the Lowry move will cost us all our future assets. No team will want him without serious draft compensation.
