Miami is experiencing a tough moment in the season, winning only one of the last six games. In fact, the one win still could have been a loss if a wide-open Harden had hit a 3-pt shot.

This season the Heat are shooting at 45%, while their opponents are shooting at 47.6%. 3-point shooting is even worse: (33.2% vs 36.8%). The poor shooting combined with a generally slow pace results in the worst ranking in the league in FG made and pts made (107.8). They also rank 28th in rebounds, which isn't great either. In spite of our poor play, the team still plays hard and wins more games than they lose (though not by much). They are 33-31.

It really feels like a critical moment that will define whether the Heat are doomed to play in the play-in. The Nets are still ahead of us and look better even if they do lose a lot too. The Knicks are 8-0 while the Heat have been sinking.

Yeah it's not great, and we have to react. The game against the Hawks is important, because a loss here will push us even further down, and the Hawks are a direct competitor now for the play-in. I mean, it can even get worse if we don't get ourselves together.

If Dejounte Murray scores 41 points on the Heat, we can't win. Our team lives and dies on its defense. We need to score too, but our defense is key. Right now (especially the last five games) our defense has broken down way too much.

Last night we were beaten by a desperate end-of-buzzer 3 pointer, but what killed us was giving up 70+ points in the first half.

I miss Wade.
