We should be able to handle Atlanta. The 2 best players in the series are Jimmy and Bam, and Trae is our bitch. After that we're probably screwed. I'll be shocked if we make it to the 2nd round.

It'll be interesting to see Spo's rotation here, in particular with Lowry, Oladipo and Vincent. The Heat played Atlanta in a back-to-back last month and in mid-January and Lowry did not play in any of those games, while Oladipo and Vincent got big minutes and held Atlanta's guards to subpar performances in most cases.

Couldnt have asked for a better opponent in the play in. I mean, c'mon.

I cant remember the last time Trae and company really got us. Im sure it happened, but i dont remember.

Never been more sure of a win in my life, I want this one to be convincing, double digit lead that really ever isn’t going to be in question after the first half.

I’m assuming we’re diving even deeper into supernova Jimmy than post ASB and everyone else fit in where they can

This is pretty much a game 7, except both teams weren't in the gauntlet together for 6 games prior. Anything can happen. Anyone can get hot. Anyone can have a bad shooting performance. I think we're in for a nail biter. I think it goes down to the wire.

Murray carved up Mia eariler this season.

Atl vastly outplayed Mia in that game.

Though I'm confident Mia should win, it's hard for me to take anything for granted with this group this season.

We've got a mountain to climb and our chances to live seem nil. Screw it. One step at a time.

As much as I dont like how Spo is in love with Vincent over Oladipo, for this game at least ill give him a pass if he favors him at least in the first half. Vincent has done a good enough job against Trae that he even mentioned him by name after the last series. The hawks have been a good matchup for him. But if we get bad Gabe Spo better not hesitate to get Dipo in there with the way hes rolling right now. Problem is if it comes to that he probably will hesitate...like all game. Regardless Id feel much better with Oladipo against the bigger Smart and wings of the Celtics if we get there. I think Brown still has nightmares about him from last years series lol.

We got to back to our defensive identity if we want to win this.. we are not going to win trading baskets with trae and dejounte .. this cant be a layup drill, which is what the Hawks will want.. the hawks are going to try to make this a 135-128 type game..

I have a bad feeling Saddiq and Bogdanovic might have big games as well. And with Hunter Collins and Capela they have nice size and athleticism up front. The Hawks should do better than they do when you look at their roster talent on paper. We definitely need to lock in.

Considering Dipo doesn’t fit and is out of the rotation if you listed the top 10 players in this game would the Hawks have 7? Or would Lowry slide in there somewhere?

Game 5 when Bam and Dipo closed the Hawks out last playoffs without Jimmy and Lowry was pretty fun. Thought Dipo was really about to break out after that, he still did defensively at least

Ya same...Spo didnt even play him for the 1st 3 games then starts him and he drops 23 with 3 steals! I think with Dipo it boils down to this...sometimes he takes too many ill advised shots and highjacks the offense a bit. But hes used to having the ball in his hands to be effective and find his rhythm. Thats where the fit is tough with Herro and Butler. But Spo needs to let him run more pick and rolls and not try and turn him into a spot up guy so much.

This team sucks offensively, the bottom line is we need him and his shot creation not to mention defense. He potentially raises our ceiling a bit. Whether Spo can find a way to make it work or not, we need his 2 way play to have any shot. Without it we arnt getting out of the first round. So try and figure it out and even though we prob arent getting past the Cs regardless, at least theres a bit better of a chance. Unleash everything yave got man!

I think the play of Bam and Herro is going to be huge. Bam needs to find his pre allstar break offensive game again. And Herro needs to find his pre Harlem form. Herro can really kill us if hes not shooting well because he jacks up the most shots on the team while getting hunted and abused on defense. We need more bubble boy and not what hes displayed in playoffs since.

We def could use a high level offensive player who can play off the ball. I loved watching Wade move without the ball and draw the attention of the D or find the gaps. It was beautiful.

I hope you’re right but the decrease in FGA and usage rate post ASB when Jimmy decided to turn it on has me discouraged. I was looking forward to seeing a playoffs with Bam at 16+ shots a night. We’ll see

I think Jimmy can do a lot do that slashing and off ball movement Wade used to do, we definitely need that high level offensive guy that’s a 3 level scorer and playmaker though. Dame/Trae would be perfect. Kyrie but it’ll never happen.
